Despite scoring a 10 on the risque front, Trey Songz continues to enjoy all the benefits of being one of Hip Hop & R&B’s more well behaved stars, seeing his name elude negative press while a number of his contemporaries find themselves glued to it.

Only right then, that as he pushes his latest album ‘Trigga‘, that he share words of wisdom with two of his more troubled rivals, Chris Brown & August Alsina, both of whom he bills “little brothers.”

What he had to say on their recent run ins with their law, fans and press?

Watch below…

On August Alsina and their reported feud:

I rock with dude. I believe in him. I think he’s very talented. He’s dealing with a lot in his life outside of music. … I’m off that. I was on that. I was hype. I think my temper might have been worse than his.One of things that’s crazy about hip-hop culture that you see nowhere else is that we’re always trying to bring each other all the way down, and we gotta have this beef and that beef. I’m cool, man. It’s enough room for all of us to be successful and make money.

On Chris Brown:

I spoke to him this morning. He actually texted me this morning. He out. He good. Chris and I, we actually did our first tour together…and I always looked to him as a younger brother. The trajectory of my career was much slower than his. It was much more gradual. I was able to embrace and deal with things differently.

Really? That’s what he had to say? Lol First off saying that people in HipHop but each other down is putting it nicely but Im happy he touched on it at all & that hole Chris brown got famous to fast thing is BS. Chris has a mental illness & if he doesn’t take care himself by taking his medicine & having good people around him he’ll just go back to jail. And Trey has alot of sexiest lyrics in his music & has been a Ghetto mess in his videos from time to time. At lest even when Kanye is at his most crazy he trying to tell people about the down fall of the Money Hungry Industry & JAY Z has just becoming an amazing & I lighten human being from coming out for Gay people to showing young black men how to be a good business Man. But Trey August & Chris? Idk? Smh

Trey Songs is a good men. He deserves a lot of success because his music is good and he has a good behaviour

The thing is Trey Songz was the August Alsina before there was August Alsina. During the early stages if his career, he was known to jump off stages and get into it with people in the crowd. Kinda like what Mr. Alsina is now with his messy attitude. Trey got rid of the cornrows, beefed up, took his shirt off, said he invented s** and he broke through after being sidelined for years. His music as of late has become so reductive and he seems to lack growth artistically. And dead at him saying R&B is in a great place now. On a mainstream front it’s crap. You have to go underground to find the good stuff. As for Chris, it’s so unfortunate how things turned out the past 5 years. I literally remember when I first saw the video for Run It and just knowing he was gonna blow up because he has the look, talent and energy. I’m glad he’s out of jail but he needs to evaluate whether this game is truly for him because I feel he has serious issues that stem from his childhood. Wishing all of them well though.
