If ever there was any doubt that Ariana Grande has “arrived”, it’s being dispelled with each new release.
Case in point the Pop star’s latest song ‘Best Mistake’.

The Big Sean assisted cut was released yesterday as a promo track for Grande’s sophomore album ‘My Everything’ (due August 25th) and within a few hours has already reached the #1 spot on the US iTunes tally.
Needless to say, an incredible feat and one that proves the potency of the 21-year-old’s pull in the marketplace. After all, her buzz and talent aside, ‘Best Mistake’ is an all-out R&B – as such seeing such a song reach dizzying heights on a mainstream count is a rarity these days.
Ms. Grande is rising through the ranks with super-charged speed and clearly has her eye on the top spot. Many of her contemporaries (and idols) should watch out! More power to her.

The question here is simply will her 2nd album sell better than her 1st album. Having successful singles does not mean that you sell a good amount of albums. Using one of her manager’s artist as a example, Carly Rae Jepson, 2 massively successful singles on her album in Call Me Maybe & Good Times, Carly’s album did not sell a lot about on par with Ariana’s 1st album, disappointing.
But I do struggle to hear what she’s saying in this song.

old Ariana was ok & I did not like her last album but she’s made the best come back with all the new music from MY EVERYTHING. This is the type of music me and her fans are here for. We’ll pretend that Zedd single didn’t happen.
Nothing fishy here. All of her singles went to #1 on iTunes with YT. The difference is now she has more then her t.v fan base supporting her. I think that will significantly effect her album sales too. Alot of people saw here as another Nick/Disney act and didn’t give her the time of day but I think she won over alot of people and earned respect after that AMA performance of Tattooed Heart. Who knows if this will translate to #1 on Billboard. Break Free has the best chance considering its holding steady on iTunes and making massive gains on radio with little to no promo. Ariana will be performing it at the VMAs and the video is dropping very soon to add streaming points in. And this video looks like her best work to date, not like Problem.

Lol…even Bey,Katy,Rih don’t top Itunes this fast.If there’s so much demand for her music it should logically spill over to her previous album which btw was released just last year just like Adele’s 21 helped her debut album sell millions.If this album doesn’t sell well despite 4 successful singles (Problem,Break Free,Bang Bang and this one),then i’ll assume the worst 😉

It is #1 now but it is not staying too long, average song. This is the worst out of 3 what I’ve heard.
