Joining a line-up which includes Beyonce, Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj is the latest act to be named as a performers at this years MTV Video Music Awards!
Announced by the network minutes ago, Minaj’s performance at this year’s show will mark her first ever VMA live serving, put in place to promote her forthcoming album ‘The Pink Print’ and her rising single ‘Anaconda‘, which peaked at #1 on iTunes!

3. nicki serves more entertainment in her raps than most rappers. Most use back tracks, some use dj’s, and some use hype men. She does one or the other sometimes, but lots of times she puts on a real entertaining show. Check her live shows online. I prefer when she uses a live band like when she performed for philly 4th of July.
I’ve seen her perform live numerous times. It is dry, no hype and just an all around snoozefest. As a rapper she needs to work on her stage presence and hype factor because for her to be so animated on the studio it sure does not translate into her live stuff. Even with a million dancers and bells and whistles on the Grammys during her weird exorcism she was boring. Sorry it’s just fact, she’s not a performer

I think Anaconda is doing ok with the type of song it is. It is like that old school 80’s type of rap. Plus it is explicit as hell not made for pop rap but kind of pop rap. Pills and potions was different from everything else out. It really had no market but it was a good song though.
People really sleeping on the Usher feature though.
Anaconda has lackluster bars and is corny, pills and potions was ok at best but nothing special. Don’t say your album is a female version of “the blueprint” when the material is very generic, the blueprint was an iconic, untouchable album. The two songs nicki put out are not iconic , generic and are very touchable.
Pink print is a females version of Blue print. We all know in this sexist world, if Nicki spit real bars on most songs she wouldn’t crack billboard which wont help her relevancy.
But every classic album has one of these silly songs. Listen to Blue Print again. Think about girls girl girls. Im sure her whole album wont be like that. Pills and potions is a good album track not that great for radio. Most billboard top 10s are trash with dumb lyrics to be honest. Or take Nas with I can. Simple 80’ish flow.
