Streams may have helped it soar to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, but it’s become pretty clear that Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Anaconda’ stands tall thanks to sales generated by her fans and the general public alike.
For this week, in what marks one of the rapper’s best charting periods since her debut, the single has moved almost 200,000 units!

Since the end of the last chart week, ‘Anaconda‘ has sold a sizzling 181,000 units in less than seven days, pushing its US sales to the 494,000 milestone!
Impressive, as its speedy ascent to Platinum now sees it on course to outperform its older and wiser sister ‘Pills N Potions’ which recently crossed the half a million mark.
With these sales, Nicki leaps to #4 on Billboard’s ‘Hot Digital Songs’ tally this week, doing so as she sells a further 895,000 copies of ‘Bang Bang’, the jam she appears on alongside Ariana Grande and ‘Sweet Talker’ chanteuse Jessie J.
Now tasked with ensuring the singles supporting LP fares just as well, Nicki’s success with the saucy single comes as it became the Greatest Gainer on Billboard’s Rap Airplay chart, and as her ‘WooHoo’ collaborator Christina Aguilera saw her number ‘Say Something’ reach epic sales of 3,859,000 units!
