With Christina Aguilera reportedly readying a grittier, Hip-Hop skewed LP, one has to wonder whether the chart-topping chanteuse was scoping out new sounds at Drake and Lil Wayne‘s concert last night.
The diva – who gave birth to baby Summer Rain four weeks ago, was snapped enjoying the Los Angeles stop of the tour with fiance Matt Rutler, her choreographer Jeri Slaughter, and friends.
Randomness perhaps, but are we the only ones who’d love to see Xtina team up with Drakey? If indeed, she is leaning towards a more throwback sound, Drizzy is skillfully versatile and could lend his talents to her newest offerings in a compelling way. Just thinking out aloud.

I think what they’re saying is that she rides the “street cred” bandwagon. When urban music was very popular in the early 2000′s she emulated urban street culture. When it became out of style, u did not see her near urban street people. She did two albums to cater to the majority white masses and THEY FLOPPED. Now that it is 2014 and urban is strong she wants street urban street cred again. No ma’am, you will not ride the negroes this go around.
At first I thought this was random, I’m like “She listens to Drake and Lil Wayne?” But then I recalled past interviews she’s done were she has expressed her interest in the urban culture and the like and hell even her iTunes playlist was predominantly Hip Hop and R&B. And DJ Premier (he worked with her on Back to Basics) and Claude Kelly (Bionic and Burlesque) have vouched that she knows her Hip Hop and R&B so yeah not so random after thinking about it. Hmm but a cross between Stripped and Back To Basics sounds like Teena Marie to me? Which would be awesome!!! But I guess it’s safe to say that Linda Perry and Sia won’t be featuring on this album…? Well whatever she’s working on she’s got my attention.
