One of the notable names to rock the house was the electrifying Fantasia.
Renown for her super-charged showings, the American Idol alum lived up to her billing – thrilling the thousands in attendance with tracks from her critically acclaimed discography, including ‘Free Yourself’ and ‘When I See You’. The powerhouse also served up a crowd pleasing sing-a-long-song of Nas and Lauryn Hill‘s ‘If I Ruled The World’.

Fantasia is one of the few artists who’s vocal, performing and artistic growth is so evident with each album. This performance proves that she one of the best live performers of her generation. As I stated before, a true performer does not need 10 backup singers and dancers, special effects, pyrotechnics and elaborate stage designs to make up for their weak vocals and amateur dancing *coughs Rihanna, Katy, Britney*… They’ll give real stage presence, real showmanship and above all else real live vocals for 2 hrs. This is why I respect artists like Fantasia, Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan and Janelle Monae… They will perform their asses off for 2 hrs, sweat out weaves, perms and sew ins, kick off heels and still sound great. Go head Fanny… Kill em dead
