Ariana Grande has done it again.
The petite powerhouse has scored yet another top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100; this time, it’s with ‘Love Me Harder’ – the third single to be lifted from her sophomore LP ‘My Everything’.

The moody mid-tempo, which features The Weeknd, rocketed #36-#7 on this week’s tally.
Why the sudden boost?
Well, now that YouTube streams are included in the Hot 100 formula, the debut of the cut’s accompanying video and the 13 million streams it amassed first week were a major factor. When matched with the song’s top 20 and top 30 placing on radio and iTunes respectively, it becomes clear how the leap occurred.
‘Love Me” now serves as Grande’s fourth Hot 100 top ten and joins a list that includes ‘The Way’, ‘Problem’ ‘Bang Bang’, and ‘Break Free’. Both her freshman and sophomore LP’s hit #1 on the album tally too. A major feat given that all of the aforementioned were released within a 20-month window.

She has all of these hits, but her album isn’t selling..
Her album did 10K this past week…We are coming up on 3 months of it being released, so I would say she is selling just fine. She will be gold around Christmas I am sure, which is saying a lot for an artist who has only been around for a year and a half AND in today’s album sales climate. She’s not a Taylor Swift, who is a completely different artist and on album 5 or 6…. Ariana is doing her thing both albums and singles-wise.
And taylor swift is still number 1 with Shake it off, and also blank space is climbing at 13!
Hmm… so let me get this straight: after a big promo push and in her second album already… how many #1s does she have? And more importantly: has any of her albums gone Gold, at least? I mean, come on. If she´s winning it is being in a very very basic way, like her artistry is more or less 🙂

Her current album is at 340k in the US, and like I said, she sold 10k last week, so steady sales almost 3 months in.
No #1?
It’s good that this song went top 10, it won’t surprise me if this song peaks up to the top 5 once radio play gains some more. She has at least 3 more singles left on this album that have the potential to go top 10 aswell. For everyone saying she’s a single artist isn’t true, when you think about it her new album has been streamed on Spotify 100 million times in the US, so if her team would’ve done what Taylor did by not having her new album released on Spotify, I’m pretty sure the album would’ve gone gold by now. I’m looking forward to see more success from this album in the near future! Oh and props to The Weeknd for his first top 10!
