Since the Summer, Nick Jonas has been pushing a sizzling promo campaign designed to rebrand him as a solo star.
Indeed, the former Jonas Brothers member has styled and profiled in a number of racy shoots which haven’t just sent pulses racing, but also helped his current single ‘Jealous’ rocket its way up the charts.
The real test, though, comes this week now that the 22-year-old’s self-titled debut album is finally in stores.

Given the current sales climate, the numbers are commendable – especially when considering that it’s Jonas’ first swing of the bat solo.
Having given it several spins here at TGJ, we concur that it’s a solid set. As such, it’ll be interesting to see how it’s worked moving forward.

How many copies did JLo sell after the first week? You know, the way he reported about Mariah´s sales day after day and week after week?
Guys admit it: music industry is dead and the normal thing now is not even reaching at least 100,000 (which was a big flop 2 or 3 years ago). Now the normal thing is doing less than 50,000 copies. Mariah´s numbers this year don´t even look that bad now (not that she needs anything anymore), without promo and after 4 years missing and no hit, she did ok for 2014 standards 🙂
