fergie la love that grape juice 2014 Nicki Minaj & Fergie Rock iTunes With New Releases / Iggy Azalea Sizzles On The Hot 100

Sales of her new project ‘Reclassified’ may have been less than stellar, but it seem it’ll take more than a commercially unsuccessful EP to kill Iggy Azalea‘s chart vibe.

For, those who laughed at her supposed struggle to sell albums should think twice before doing so at her success on a singles front, especially now that her latest effort ‘Beg For It’ has risen 14 spots on the ‘Billboard Hot 100‘ in the last week!

Lifted from the ill-fated ‘Reclassified’, ‘Beg‘ now sits pretty at #35 thanks to performances whipped up for ‘Saturday Night Live‘ and ‘The American Music Awards.’

Undoubtedly impressed by her Bryan Tanaka-backed live servings, the general public threw support behind the bop, pushing it inside the Top 40 after taking her triple Platinum jam ‘Fancy’ to #1 earlier this year.

Meanwhile, her genre sister Fergie holds the #16 spot on iTunes USA with her comeback single ‘L.A. Love’, reaching the commendable spot after it peaked at #36 on the ‘Billboard Hot 100′ and #5 on the ‘Australian Urban‘ chart.

Heading back to iTunes, ‘Bed of Lies‘ rapper Nicki Minaj dominates the chart with five entries.

Four years after her debut album ‘Pink Friday‘ moved 1 million units in its first month of release, Minaj’s ‘Bang Bang‘ sits at #14, while her remix of Beyonce’s ‘Flawless’  occupies the #30 spot.

Meanwhile, her Hip Hop bop ‘Only’ shows up to the chart party and pulls up a chair at #39, while ‘Lies’ sits at #55, 18 spots above the ‘Beyonce (Platinum Edition‘ version of the aforementioned ‘Flawless.’

No David. Sorry, but album sales are what makes an artist into greatness. She joins the ranks with the likes of Pitbull and Flo Rida. She’s a female so fashion will keep her afloat.

Oh David. You try so hard to be nice to this flop but you fail because you can’t defend the fact that she can’t sell albums. Pothang.

It was so obvious there wasn´t going to be a great response to Gwen Stefani and Fergie singles/albums. They only had one era, and those weren´t that successful or influential to begin with. Now that 7-10 years have gone by… you already know. What´s funny is that for TGJ this single by Fergie is doing well but when artists who have done it all and are here since the 80s or 1990 and have had a lot of albums and eras (which causes a natural decline due to the public´s exhaustion) still do even better than this, then for TGJ that is just moderate success at best or not satisfying enough :)

My Queen is everywhere! When Hey Mama’s released as a single, which it should, there’ll be another spot in Nickis itunes domination. Then when Throw $um Mo (whatever the spelling is) is released we’ll have another. Then when the vids drop for Only & BOL we’ll ascend as well. QUEEN!!!

Congrats Iggy! And I hope Nicki also gets her 1st #1 with Bed of Lies. I actually like these sorts of songs from her. It reminded me of Your Love from her Pink Friday album. Hope she returns to that route again. She doesn’t need to go super-dark, just tone down the pop a little.

It’s thanksgiving and im sure all the artists are thankful that they are blessed to do their thing.. No tea, no shade but none are flops because they’re being talked about and are currently above hundreds of artists trying to make it. So kudos to all!
