The final of ‘The X Factor UK’ may be a week away, but the British public are proving vocal with who they’re throwing their support behind.

Contestant Fleur East earned praise aplenty during last night’s semi-final episode, after rocking the house with a dynamite performance of Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson‘s newest number ‘Uptown Funk’.

Released to iTunes immediately following, the track has done what no song this season has managed to do.

Details below…

In just 24 hours, the 26 year old’s rendition of the song rocketed to #1 on the digital tally.

An incredible feat on its own accord, it’s rendered even more of an achievement given that the original is still weeks away from its official UK release.

Unfortunately, X Factor performance tracks aren’t eligible to chart on the Official UK Singles count. Yet, with the season on the cusp of its curtain call, this provides an awesome indicator of Fleur’s selling ability post-show.

Viewed this way, she’s already…winning!

Peep the performance below…

No shade.. no no no shade, but the performance was better than the vocal (imho). She seems to have a unique tone though. And, Is it me or, does it seem like the white girls sing better in the uk than the…? What’s that about?

Uptown funk is sooooooooo refreshing to here, I’m pleased for her. However, this performance can never top Ronson’s & Mars’ performance on SNL a few weeks back.

Im sorry but that performance was average.Nothing special, she got moves but it was definitely not impressive.stylism is awful as usual and the vocals were basic.

This site is terrible at hyping up mediocrity from the UK. The article fails to mention the original can’t be purchased yet on UK iTunes. And how much of that performance was her singing and how much was backing track?

i like her tone tho…am i the only one who think she give me a bit of kelis vocally with a lil rasp to her tone lol! i like the performance she has that charisma on stage to entertain a crowd that’s for sure..and that’s what Xfactor is all about not just hitting notes from here to Japan or doing runs excessively to show you can sing…it’s all about having the total package
