Iggy Azalea has had enough!

From nemesis Azealia Banks to J. Cole and more, everyone and their dogs have taken to Twitter over the past few months to lend their opinion on the Aussie hitmaker.  Now, via short rant, Azalea finally claps back at detractors who have slammed her for having a lack of understanding of hip hop culture and “stealing from Black culture.”

Did you miss it?  She what the ‘Bounce’ beauty had to say after you bounce below the jump:

well that was a classy answer for the unfair hating she’s got… now she needs to answer the rightful criticism and apologize for being insensitive to real unjust racial politics. Come on beau!

So “pop rap” it is, huh? Okay. We’re getting closer to the truth. Talk to me about that “southern accent.” Give me a little on those inappropriate tweets. Let it out mama.

Now, I’m not sure if Lupe was REALLY defending her when he says:

“And I’m Uncle Tom cuz some I told some white b**** that her p**** popping songs had a place in HipHop??? You outta yo f****** mind.” See “white b**** and p**** popping songs” here but hey, I guess the Iggy fans will take all they can get.

Also, Pitchfork just dragged her as well.

Poor, pitiful, victimized Iggy. Heavy is the head for those who wear the crown. I mean, she IS the rap queen, right?

    • rosy December 23, 2014

Why are you hating on her you know better than a racist who hates blacks it’s sick how you blacks hate a young white girl for doing hip hop but if that was a black doing Rock and white rockers blast her all you nasty blacks would cry racism use your energy to worry about important things like getting your nappy headed hos off welfare and rappers getting 5 and 6 women pregnant black on black crimes instead all you haters on here worrying about one white girl singing rap gtfoh with your non reading uneducated assess I hope she stays winning because it’s not up to you blacks who buys her music but whites who will support her and non of you don’t even support your own black rappers all the naysayers are all broke and can’t get a number 1 has been or crying on the radio for sympathy blacks are the worst race and will never win in life because what u want and fighting for you are tearing and lynching others down pathetic I hope u all Stay down and be discriminated against you never win with hate

LOL@rosy. There were enough idiotic spelling and grammatical flubs in that rant/run-on sentence to make an idiots stew. I love it when buffoons like you making fools of themselves while trying to call someone else out. Just gold. What did you score on the SAT’s?

      • Mary Mary Why You Buggin’ December 23, 2014

I see you’ve never heard of punctuation and if you have, it’s clear that you don’t know how to use it.

You typed a jumble of tomfoolery and thought you were reading me down!

Girl, tell me more about what’s wrong with black people, with your smart self. LOL!

Iggy’s fans are, seriously, the most ridiculous fan base walking the earth. We should all get together and start a book club for yall. Wow.

      • The Wig Snatchrrr December 23, 2014

Instead of talking about jobless people, isn’t it your job to tell the 20 tops who ran a train on you last weekend about your S.T.D.s????

      • tits mcgee December 23, 2014

It’s a blog. The point is to take time to comment, you certainly did. So what was your point?

I’m on paid holiday right now, from my cushy job, so don’t worry about that.

    I rock with Iggy… She’s cool in my book…

  7. B**** I Can’t Even Spell Welfare December 22, 2014

Everything that’s problematic about Iggy has, now, been said.

In the future, I do hope that she will take this opportunity to reflect and take this opportunity to produce meaningful music in the future, stop denigrating other cultures on twitter, and do her thing.

When people deem you the best, fairly or unfairly, people will scrutinize you. This is why there has been an avalanche of criticism. She has officially backed away from the hip hop moniker (thank goodness) so we’ll probably get more mindless music in the future, which is cool. It’s more honest. It’s more suited to her talent level. But who knows, she may prove us all wrong.

    Good luck to her.

    • tits mcgee December 23, 2014

I second everything you wrote.. Amazingly, written. 🙂

    • OMG Logic!!! December 23, 2014

Interesting. Everything you’ve written applies to Onika and pretty much every popular rapper as well. Well, apart from the fact that they haven’t admitted they make garbage McDonald’s Rap.

  8. Dossome December 22, 2014

Azealia Banks ls gonna own 2015.It’s been ages since we had a female rapper with strong point of view.Kendrick,J.Cole and Banks<3333

    • B**** I Can’t Even Spell Welfare December 22, 2014

One can only hope man, one can only hope.

“Broke With Expensive Taste” is SO brilliant. Kendrick’s new songs “i’ & the “untitled” song he performed on The Colbert Report are also brilliant.

Honestly, I think it’s just too smart for the mainstream. *cries*

It’s like the situation with poor Janelle. “The ArchAndroid” was a revelation. Brilliant. The mainstream will just not embrace that type of creative force.

      *sigh*

    • Carlitos December 22, 2014

You’re disgusting. Anyone who is team Azealia is nothing short of a devil worshiper.

      • rita ora can win a oscar December 22, 2014

YES she does worship the devil which IS WHY GOD HAS PUT A CHOKEHOLD on her success.

She sleeps with snakes; she believes in this weird 4 snakes of evolution The video for one of her songs, which flopped, was pure scacru devil worshiping. She brags about practising santeria and other black majic; she says she is a witch and SHE wonders why she is rotting? She also uses rabbits for spells.

She cat called Lucifer and Cat called Satan. The fact she sleeps with snakes….. This is scary person; she is dangerous. I would not want to be anywhere near her. Imagine if she has gun in her possession, all that rage and witchcraft…

      • Dossome December 22, 2014

Even if she worshipped and built an altar for an electric d****,I still wouldn’t change my opinion of her as an artist

      • Tyler December 22, 2014

    • LB December 23, 2014

Kendrick Lamar is the best hip hop artist who will go down as one of hip hops legends. His art is amazing.

Azealia Banks, if she plays her cards right, will be a undeniable success.

    • Paws December 23, 2014

      Who?

    • MisdamenorFan December 23, 2014

Banks ain’t going to own shat with that nasty bitter black bish attitude she has. Until she shows a little class mainstream America (i.e music buying people) will not check for her.

  17. rita ora can win a oscar December 22, 2014

SHE is becoming a role model for ANYONE WHO WANTS TO CHASE their dream and facing adversity. In that sense, she is the female Emimiem; he also had TO FIGHT just to eat at the table and she had blacks, women’s group and gay rights after him, and that made him stronger and delivered his BEST WORK.

IGGY DROP THE ALBUM OF HER life for album 2 – SHE HAS A LOT TO PROVE AND Pain fuels creativity. She needs to make a song like ” the way I am “

    • B**** I Can’t Even Spell Welfare December 22, 2014

You forgot to add that Eminem DESERVED that criticism. Eminem admitted that he deserved that criticism.

The problem with Iggy’s fans is they refuse to admit they she has done anything wrong. Not a good look.

But as I posted above, hopefully she will use this as an opportunity to elevate her music. She doesn’t have the talent of an Eminem but I would really love to see what she could do.

Like you said, they sideline them for those they feel they can make an easy buck on. Sad really.

  21. rita ora can win a oscar December 22, 2014

We ask of hip-hop, a genre gripping on to its roots in lower class black and brown communities as it continues to rise as our most omnipresent form of pop music, to be a beacon of hope and prove that its gain and value of earned status has been worth it. Kanye West and Jay Z are our living proof of not only black genius but of black luxury, where skin color cannot stop talent from being rewarded in abundance and excess. We want them to be our leaders and to rally from their platforms, though they’ve been warning us and relaying their experiences with racial profiling and corrupt cops from the moment they rose to prominence.

Then there are the artists that are copying them. Iggy Azalea with her affected and deep-fried Southern drawl. Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke with their affinity for ripping the style of R&B and soul singers of the past.

On Twitter, people taunted and begged for the white artists who have become most famous for their take on being black to speak up, though they’ve remained silent. Banks became the most vocal, calling out Azalea for her down-ness not extending past her public persona and music. Their silence is irksome, especially in a year where some of the top hits (Katy Perry’s trap influenced “Dark Horse”; Magic!’s reggae song “Rude”; Azalea’s many singles and guest spots) have not only carried out the trend of silencing roots but have continued to prove just how much money we’re willing to pour into that machine. However, Azalea has used her social media platforms to respond to any and all criticism of her, shaving down the purpose of Banks’ frustration to her being upset about not being as successful.

What Azalea’s response proves is what everyone already knew about her and the artists just like her: everyone wants to be black but no one actually wants to be black. Stealing, idealizing and mimicking has become the way she profits in the music industry but she doesn’t understand a damn thing about the people she steals from. For Banks, and really the rest of black America, stories about the ways in which we have been wronged are exhausting, tired, and played out. She released an excellent album this year, serving as one of many examples of the ways in which artists of color are still reinventing their place and sound in the music world. As she so powerfully puts it, “my black story is deeper than the boat ride ove

    • Mary Mary Why You Buggin’ December 22, 2014

That’s The Pitchfork article. Thanks for posting it. It’s great.

      What’s your take on it?

“Stop hating on her,” “Will y’all let this girl live,” “You’re just jealous” “Racist”

  22. rita ora can win a oscar December 22, 2014

Blacks are not tactical. This is making things worse.

Iggy, like Rita Ora is managed by one of the most revered managers, Saran Tennant. She has relationships with many corporations and radio companies. Iggy just got of a radio tour. Clear channel are GONNA play her even more – they are gonna build their line up around her music.

TV: She is blonde, she she will get on TV; but, her and RITA ora are PERSONAL friends with SENIOR VP AT MTV – now, they are bringing back TRL and TRL made Britney and JT and em. SO, who would benefit from TRL? iGGY OR THAT racist anti jew black rapper?

Magazines: She is blonde – she will sell overs

STAGES – She is with CAA and Live nation, so best believe she will book shows and tours. AS u see. Ciara, Brandy, Ashanti, Keyshia Cole and Azalea BANKS dont book shows, Banks only plays festivals. No she has NEVER EVER headlined Glastonbury – beyonce and Dolly Parton are the only women to headline. F*** OUTTA HERE.

  23. rita ora can win a oscar December 22, 2014

THAT CREAZY BLACK WOMAN HAS JUST COME FOR IGGY AGAIN. OK, IGGY NEEDS TO GET restraining order. SHE NEEDS TO BLOCK HER FROM TWITTER. SHE needs to used her power to BLACK BALL THIS GIRL ONNCE AND FOR ALL.

THIS IS GETTING SICK. I have never seen anything like this.

    • ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) December 23, 2014

To me, whoever your referring to is showing her insecurities about herself in the form of attacking Iggy for what she doesn’t have…Classic insecure b*tchassness

  24. Wintz December 22, 2014

Watch this manipulative, narcissistic, entitled, offensive, vile and twisted minded JEZEBEL :

    1. shamefully and openly mock people of colour and other races via her historically distasteful, foul and nasty tweets

    2. recorded, video taped and actually released the abomination that was her cracking whip and calling herself a s**** master

    3. mock the very coons salivating her desert dry c*** by posting that pic on twitter with two raccoons eating out Betty White”s grandchild

    4. honour the history of systematic racism in the music industry by stealing a black female rapper’s name while pretending that same artist doesn’t have the right to speak nor express her opinion on the situation publicly.

    5. assume another accent to gain interest and affiliation to black culture (the very same people/culture she let her disdain be known for) so she can kang-ru-hop her way into Hip-Hop genre… And in turn use it as a stepping stone/ pawn to cross over to pop, which refused her in the beginning btw. Lol

Now watch this despicable filth downplay her racism with subtle narcissism. WOW

    Anyway, Happy Holidays everyone

    • ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) December 23, 2014

You clearly painted a detailed and thorough image of someone you’ve never met in your life lol!! It’s ok to “assume”and dislike but got d*mn lol! Artists like Bobby Smurda, Onyx, Wiz Khalifa all keep what you feel Iggy “mocks” alive, aka c*oon like, dumb*ss behavior. Drugs, violence and straight stupidity. But the black community, instead of being embarrassed (as they should) by the image their own people portray, y’all encourage and enjoy the f*ckery. Idk why Iggy would want to be apart of that mess anyway..

    • Iconic Iggy December 23, 2014

  35. metzo December 23, 2014

She’s so polite. What a champ.
I love a low key and grounded person. I guess that’s part of why I’m so fond of beyonce . And I’m growing to really love Ms. Iggy. She seems like a strong person with thick skin. You would think she would lash out out of control at people with all this negativity coming towards her.
But no, she still stays tasteful and classy. More power to you girl! This will only make her stroger and more driven just to prove people wrong and I’m loving it.
    She almost seems #Unbothered

    • CzarM December 23, 2014

As if she could lash out at everyone coming for her. There’s only one of her versus how many (growing) detractors? She’s not winning against an angry mob. If she tried to lash out, it would just incite everyone to go harder at her until she finally cracked. At this point all she can do is try to ignore it, which she’s actually doing a poor job of, since every day there’s a new tweet of her responding to this or that.

  36. ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) December 23, 2014

I’m not even a fan of her music, but after witnessing yet again the evil and ignorant side of the oppressed black community (and whoever else), I’ll be sure to purchase her album and hand it to friends who enjoy her music…

  37. metzo December 23, 2014

The only thing I want from Iggy is for her to come forward and address those racist tweets and APPOLOGIZE at last so people can move the fvck on. The fact that people call her racist when she has a BLACK boyfriend is Beyond me.
I don’t think she’s racist, I just think she’s ignorant and less than smart and probably wrote those tweets in an attempt to be “Funny” n whatnot (which failed).
    JUST APPOLOGIZE GIRL.

    • Iconic Iggy December 23, 2014

Despite people bringing them up as if it is some new exposing, Iggy has already addressed and apologized for those. I want to know why Azealia hasn’t apologized for her own ignorant tweets from her past that have surfaced or why people aren’t calling her out for it.

  38. Xtina Warrior December 23, 2014

Iggy is really winning right now!!!! Why is she overshadowing Nicki on her album release week?

  39. Realest December 23, 2014

Lol so many people on here seething in rage to the point they talk idiotically, type irrately and just make themselves look like bitter, unintellectual idiots. You can actually voice your opposition without sounding like you finally just started your GED course at your local community college, ten years after you dropped out. Peep out Iggys response; calm, cool, collective and most importantly- effective. And at the end of the day she is getting coins and doing ok numbers in comparison to majority of her musicals peers.

  40. IKeepG@ysHumble December 23, 2014

Uggly honey instead of ranting on Twitter. Get into the studio and drop something that will prove why you’re “running” Hip Hop. Show us why you’ve being declared the “Queen of Hip Hop”. These twitter essays will not make you sit and be respected at the Hip Hop table. You and the machine behind may deny all you want. You’re FAKE and we see right through you. But carry on girl. Keep deluding the music and be praised for said mediocrity. It’s certainly not the 1st time it happened and it won’t be the last. But just don’t respect from us for your garbage deserving music.

This girl been rapping the same damn way since she came out and no one gave a s*** about all this b******* they are talking about. I find it funny that ass soon as Iggy gets a number #1 hit a couple top 10s and a little attention suddenly everybody has something to say. Where were yall 3 yrs ago? These black rappers are just mad that a white female rapper is winning, its all jealousy. No one gave a s*** about anything Iggy said when she was flopping jealousy jealousy

I’m glad Iggy isn’t phased by this ignorant mess. She handled this with class and collectiveness and most importantly put it behind her. Iggy has an arena tour to sell out, which would be a first for a female rapper if I’m not mistaken. Plus, she needs to figure out what to accept her Grammy in 🙂

i love how everyone is suddenly all about how this is not about iggy, but why is it her name being thrown around? If the issue is not her and is truly that bad that you have all this people co-signing, then were are all the other examples? Yes iggy said some offensive things but that was years ago and she apologised should she forever have to apologise for them, always bringing attention to them?

i am happy that who they really want to get involve in this nastiness, isn’t biting.Iggy and crew is getting what they want free press so she can play the victim, only person winning in this is Iggy because the picture is she is this innocent white girl who all these jealous blacks are attacking, she is taylor swiffing them, even though it took only one on taylors case.no matter what racist stuff iggy been saying it will get over shadowed by this, and you see how she is replaying all politically correct her and her team is playing the game well and making millions. like i said before who they really wanted to get involve in this nastiness isn’t bitting she knows whats going on.

She’s right, there must have enough place for everybody in this industry. It is also Christmas and as she said, leave her alone and enjoy your week. But maybe you don’t have a family or any friends to be part of these special days? Let me tell you, i’m not sad for s*** talkers, you shoud all ask Santa Claus for a brain under the tree. Seems really necessary for some around here.
