The Soul Train Awards 2014 aired moments ago.
Like previous years, this instalment of the annual extravaganza paid homage to the achievements of the industry’s R&B and Hip-Hop stars.
Hosted by media mogul Wendy Williams, the event (which was shot earlier this month in Las Vegas Nevada) saw performances from the likes of Chris Brown, Tinashe, and Jodeci. The show also staged the much-talked about ‘Ladies Night’ reunion featuring Lil Kim, Missy Elliott, and Da Brat.

Tinashe killed it! Chris killed it, Tamar over did it and the Queens of rap made the show eventful. That is all!
Yes’m Indeed “Ladies Night” Twas the jam back then & STILL THE JAM NOW!! Tinashe was pretty good also & Tamar always over does her performances & I’m just not into her each time she performs I’m ANNOYED!! Great award show & I Love to see people of color Celebrating & Chris Brown better PERFORM!!
Chris Brown killed with that damn near 10 minute show opener! He did that choreography and his voice held up pretty well considering that energy! And Tinashe definitely performed like her life depended on it! I love how hungry she is – she definitely delivered. Solid vocals and the dancing was pretty damn great!
Chris Browns performance was alright, Jodeci…… A HOT GAH DAMN MESS! Ladies Night performance was the show stealer and Tinashe did great but I overall just hated the editing work for the show.
And not Syleena Johnsons manager/sister trying to shade Tinashe tonight…… she got dragged obviously.
And Wendy did a horrible job. That’s all.

Tinashe did very well. Chris choreography and etc was great vocals were OK some of the time. Tamar pushes her voice and will bust another vocal cord if she sings like that again. Wendy is as good of a host as he is a movie producer.
Chris was good and took me back to when he was a lot more likeable, lol. I do think he could’ve picked better songs to perform like his debut single, Run It and career highlights such as Gimme That, Forever and Look At Me Now. Tinashe is really starting to grow on me as a performer. I like that as a new artist, she places heavy emphasis on her live showings because a lot of her peers don’t. People can be hard on her but forget the greats like Janet and Bey all started somewhere. She’ll grow in due time.

Tinashe you have what it takes…just take notice to what ppl like about you…your performance ability. Give us more performance based music and you’ll be good. Oh and keep making your vocals a priority. I can see you’re studying the winning formula. It’s exciting too.lol
