Is Ciara onto a chart winner with new single ‘I Bet’?

If early radio and online streams are any indication, it seems the Harmony Samuels production is heading in one direction…upwards.

Details below…

After just three days of radio play and two weeks ahead of its official radio release, the truth baring ballad has racked up ample spins on the Urban format and possess a 107 bullet already. Translation? It’s easily one of Ci’s most successful out of the gate roll-out’s in recent years and is performing on-par with ‘Body Party’.

On the streaming front, the track has amassed 1.5million plays in a mere matter of days.

Will it maintain the buzz moving forward? We certainly hope so. We’re just eager to see the song paired with an engaging/unexpected video to fully take advantage of the affect streaming has on the charts.

For now, though, listen to ‘I Bet’ below and check out our interview with producer Harmony – who dished on the single’s parent album ‘Jackie’.

Not joking, I pretty much forgot about this song already. I like it, but she needs to make a video or have a performance asap.

    • #JACKIE January 17, 2015

You forgot about it, but u were the first to comment? Nvm, I forgot being a TGJ commentator is your day job. Get your trident gum, sis!

      • Mark111 January 17, 2015

Doesn’t mean crap, but carry on. You see how Sevyn teased DKTF and a few days later had it on itunes and Amazon M**? We live in the NOW, and I know I’m not the only one that forgot this song this week.

      • FAF January 17, 2015

But notice noone is checking for sevyn and chris is about to go to prison

    • BeyRihLiyah January 17, 2015

right ci-nigggga is a forgettable artist

      • Bottom Queen January 17, 2015

        When will crashLiyah.

      • Brian310 January 17, 2015

She has already done this in her career which is he her sales figures US and WW s**t on Ci.

  2. bkdudee January 17, 2015

    QUEEN CICI!!!!!!! #CI6 #SHESCOMING

  3. Cupid January 17, 2015

Still not on iTunes….. I’ve been playing this non stop via vevo. So tempted to download it for free ugh

  4. christinastherealtalent January 17, 2015

I really do think this is just a promo single before she really hits us hard with a banger! It’s a clever way for her to get people talking about her again. I love this song though!

    • Mark111 January 17, 2015

She did that with her last 3 flops. That’s her problem, she keep doing the same damn thing and getting the same results time after time. This should be for sale NOW. If artist are dropping full albums out of nowhere, then you can drop a 99 cent single. These labels keep doing the same OLD business model when it’s a new day and age.

      • Love January 17, 2015

I honestly don’t know where these labels are going with Ciara’s career and tbh I don’t think they know either.

The girl is obviously marketable but it’s like they keep bringing her out with these same tired ass songs that sound like filler tracks! Hook the girl up with composers that write music for Sam Smith . It’s like everyone’s singing R&B music but the R&B artists. Like what’s going on?

    • new mgt please January 17, 2015

I want a dance track! I’m not trying to go see Ciara sing a bunch of ballads in concert with her one octive. I want URBAN dance tracks from her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE DOESN’T UNDERSTAND HER ARTISTRY. Keisha Cole or Fantasia singing ballad? Yes. Ciara? I just want to dance when I go see her. She can’t sing ballads very well live.

  5. Bey-Minaj January 17, 2015

Even though some CiCi fans on this site shade Nicki on the daily, I will support CiCi this era. can’t wait for her new music.

    • I STAN(D) FOR TALENT January 17, 2015

      Shut up Ho!

  6. Special Delivery January 17, 2015

I like the song, but it will be an inevitable flop.

    • I STAN(D) FOR TALENT January 17, 2015

Says a Rita Whora stan. Lol. When is “Testicles” coming out, or is it “Television” or “Telephone?” 😀

  7. ~The Arcade~ January 17, 2015

    Good for you Cici 🙂

  8. Beysus January 17, 2015

Well it is her best song in recent years… Maybe be even EVER! It gives me Rihanna – We Ride, DC – Bills Bills Bills and TLC – No Scrubs vibes…

    • Beysus January 17, 2015

      I didn’t mean that extra “be” lol…

  9. Ms January 17, 2015

This is nice and all, but…….

What’s the release date of the song?

    • FutureCIARA January 17, 2015

January 21st it will be available on iTunes

      • Cupid January 17, 2015

That’s so horrible. My fav has got to get her s*** together. The other artist on that label songs are released on time. I don’t think it’s the label. I’m beginning to think its her. she always loses out on the 1st two weeks of sales like an idiot! She’s too focused on what radio will play. Forget radio and scrap in all te sales you can.

  10. Dustin January 17, 2015

considering she’s pretty much one album away from epic forcing LA Reid to drop her I really don’t see how comparing it to body party is a compliment. It did okay as a single (translation VERY well for Ciara) but the album it was included on sank like the titanic.

  11. I STAN(D) FOR TALENT January 17, 2015

I doubt this song will do any justice for her. It’s boring. It’s cliché. It’s forgettable. The music video might also be boring as well. People should know and understand that the lyrics are the script of the video. She must work with an exciting director like Melina Matsoukas. She or any other well-known music video director might save the song.

    • SURPRISE…….(DEC.13) January 17, 2015

THE IRONY OF THAT COMING FROM A RIHJECT FAN?????? AT LEAST CI-FLOPRA HAS ONE STRONG FORMIDABLE TALENT…(SHE CAN ACTUALLY DANCE).

      • I STAN(D) FOR TALENT January 17, 2015

Aren’t you studying Law? Why is your English and grammar so poor? You said that you’re studying Law in the UK and you will be graduating in 6 month. I’ll be checking for you after “graduation.” XD 😀 😀 😀

If hse had a stronger voice she could pull it off tho b/c of performances. Her voice can’t sell this song tho…………….. She needs a club banger. ASAP!

  12. TheElusiveLamb January 17, 2015

Even though I hate the Ciara fans on this site, I actually do like Ciara and this song. I just don’t understand why it is not on iTunes already.

    • FutureCIARA January 17, 2015

      January 21st

  13. GeeGee January 17, 2015

I love this song. They playing it in Georgia already. I’m proud of her. Hope this year she takes over to be honest.

  14. I STAN(D) FOR TALENT January 17, 2015

    Lol @ #Ci6. It’s becoming such a plague on twitter. 😀

  15. Rihboy January 17, 2015

I’m not understanding her teams moves this go around, but hopefully they get it together. Regardless of how many streams she has; Im already forgetting the song, it’s not trending anywhere, and she isn’t even promoting. Crying about a n**** on a song once again. The routine is tired like her discography.

  16. Mimi Carey January 17, 2015

The song is stale as f*** and her vocals are gross

  17. #TeamTinashe Stan (In Loving Memory of Aaliyah Haughton) January 17, 2015

I honestly never hated on this girl before until her fans saw me supporting a new girl and they “thought” this is their best chance to get the upper hand in dragging someone.
But on an important note I always will support “R&B” and the artists in the genre but this song for Ciara is NOT it for me. Her fans are desperate for new music from her so of course their going to rave for anything at this point. The songs melody sounds like “All My Life” by KCi ans JoJo but it has a thotty message behind it.
    Nothing new here.

    • Mark111 January 17, 2015

They can hate all they want because not a single Ciara album comes close to Tinashe’s album. Tin problem is that she stayed on 2 On 2 LONG, which is sad cause that’s the lest bestsong on the album. Love yyour avi btw.

      • #TeamTinashe Stan (In Loving Memory of Aaliyah Haughton) January 17, 2015

Yes I agree, Tee has more eclectic songs than Ciara ALREADY in her career. And yes “2 On” was definitely extended too long and that’s only because her second single “Pretend” which I love wasn’t a perfect follow up. She released that single because she didn’t want people to think that she is one dimensional but “All Hands On Deck” should have been been the second single.

      • SURPRISE…….(DEC.13) January 17, 2015

I ACTUALLY AGREE, BUT I STILL THINK CIBOY IS A BETTER PERFORMER AND CAN HOLD DOWN A STAGE BETTER THAN TINMAN THO….

  18. IOWNTHEWORLD January 17, 2015

I really tried to get into this song. I was hoping this would be that much needed hit for Ciara, but.this.song.is.just.so…. well…you know. Maybe the album will have better songs.

  19. Rosie January 17, 2015

Death at this not even being on iTunes yet. Epic really doesn’t care about anyone on that label except for Meghan Trainor (and that’s only because she has the fad’s old manager).

    • asha January 17, 2015

      she does???
      whats her managers name?

      • Rosie January 17, 2015

        Troy Carter.
Fad fired him during it’s last era because he changed the second single from “Venus” (which is one of the gayest songs of all time and would’ve BOMBED) to “Do What U Want” (which it decided to sabotage. Dumb b****, that was her best single since 2010).

  20. Terry B January 17, 2015

Michael Jackson is keeping Epic afloat. Epic needs to drop LA and every flop he’s signed.

  21. Queen O’ Whores January 17, 2015

Song is ok sounds like a mixtape bop. Her last album was good. She’s getting to old now tho. The time when could have been the black Britney has passed. Her cloying sweet attitude was the nail in her career coffin.

  22. Jamie January 17, 2015

Love the song! I’m sold! Copping her singles and album.

  23. BeyRihLiyah January 17, 2015

    FLOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. Tyler January 17, 2015

I actually want Ciara to win this round…Despite the fact, that most of her stans are imbeciles

    • Pearl January 17, 2015

      I like your Commenta

  25. MariahIsMusic1 January 17, 2015

    Ok you go ci

  26. DanteRepsMariahSlayCarey January 17, 2015

Not really here for Cici but i do wish her well #BodyParty and #Ride Slayed so Good luck to her in these tumultuous times for R&b music!!

  27. Molly January 17, 2015

The song slays and the haters are just mad Ciaras here to stay.

  28. FutureCIARA January 17, 2015

Not everyone in here spewing hate and opinions BUT the Ciara fans…..

Its fun to watch yall seethe, The song is doing well in streaming!

And “#iBET”will be available on iTunes January 21st

  29. Bottom Queen January 17, 2015

    When will crashLiyah.

    • Brian310 January 17, 2015

She has already done this and did it with stronger material.

  30. Truth January 17, 2015

I like it!! I get an old school vibe from it!! hopefully this will be the song to put Ciara back on top.

  31. Merril Owns January 17, 2015

well that’s promising.lets hope it actually does something.

    Cute chick.

  33. SMH January 17, 2015

    Sigh…

  34. CC January 18, 2015

She’s just being cautious, I mean look at what happened to one woman army! Sorry I flopped and flop me good was a waste of budget money. Can’t blame her or the label, she wants to win, they want her to win, we want her to win. It sounds like she may just win this time. I’m lovin the single.

  35. Casual-T January 18, 2015

I can’t believe she didn’t come harder out the gate this time. This song just sounds like a mixtape track or album cut to me. Pop/r&b is back on pop radio. If Ciara could find the right single, and that’s a big if at this point in her career, she could pull out a win. But she’s not going to do it with this.
