The quote above was pulled from Billboard’s recent sit down with pop sex kitten Katy Perry as she readies her highly anticipated Super Bowl showing (February 1st) by studying the 2013 outing of Beyonce.
Following in the top-rated, show-stopping footsteps of Madonna, Bey, and Bruno Mars, the ‘Dark Horse’ diva knows that pressure is riding high for her to match or surpass their epic performances. To at least put her best foot forward, Katy shared that she’s consulted (in one way or the other) her most recent halftime show predecessors and is using a number of tricks to prepare for this Sunday.

At least you know Beyonce is above you. Still I can’t wait to see if you will either impress me or bring on your boring live performance as usual. But I think you will do the latter.
I just watched her press conference and I have to say that I’m pretty excited to see her performance even though I’m not a fan of her. Obviously we won’t be getting outstanding vocals, choreography and showmanship like Beyonce’s but I am positive that she is going to make everyone happy and have a great time. I think the highlight of her performance is going to be her gigantic production and spectacular props. It’s sad that she has to rely on those things to make a memorable show, but nonetheless kudos to you Ms. Perry! I’ll be looking forward to your performance 🙂

An artist with real talent would study the real legends of the stage, Janet and Michael, not their current generation lessors who don’t have half the talent those two have, which is why every SB performance is measured by theirs, and Janet is the trending topic on social media every year no matter who is performing.
