As reported here, the Black Eyed Peas recently teased the release of new music to celebrate their 20th birthday as a group.
Alas, any who thought this new music would definitely feature the ‘Fergalicious’ Fergie may want to look away now.

When quizzed on their comeback by the British website ‘Digital Spy’, Fergie revealed:
I was just in the studio last week and I saw Taboo there, and I heard something will was doing and it was great. But maybe the guys are doing something? I haven’t been in the group for 20 years, so it’s more their anniversary of being together for 20 years. So maybe they’re putting out an album themselves.
Fans of the ‘London Bridge’ singer will know that she joined the Peas in 2003, eight years after the group’s formation.
When pushed for more info on the comeback she explained:
I just saw Taboo at the studio for a few minutes, but I’m working on my stuff and I only have a certain amount of hours I can be in the studio because I have Axl. So I’m just very focussed on finishing my album right now.
look will.i.am solo albums are basically B.E.P albums without fergie and we saw how that endes not even Britney or Jlo could save him. but i love fergie La love did well she just needs to make her 2nd single a banger
I love Fergie the solo star more than Fergie the front woman of BEP. But without Fergie, there’d be no BEP.
Well I WON’T be checking for that. She’s the best thing about them.

Their Last album flop hard and fergie should really just stay with them she has no feature as a solo artist she had a cute album 9 years ago but that’s it if she would have continue releasing albums after her successful era then she would been a huge solo star but the black eyed peas is her biggest bet but theyre already has been too so yea bye gurl bunch of has beens

Fergie being apart of the BEP saw success for both ends; she became the front woman if the group later being a solo act and the band became mainstream and one of the best commercial groups in the 00s.
With that said, BEP were lyrically and crucially their best pre Fergie. They were a tribe called quest like and were an alternative hip hop group. But when the lineup of the group change, so did their musical direction. So maybe having her out the 20yr celebration is for the best, if they return to their roots, regardless how it might sale.
This will TRULY flop without fergie. Before “shut up” the black eyes peas were huge non factors.

Black Eyed Peas had a strong following before Fergie, she was around during their breakthrough success but she was also around for their last flop album, – She is valued but in no way is this a beyonce – DC situation.
