If ever the definition of irony existed, it would be in a set of recent damning quotes lent from fading pop superstar Miley Cyrus.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ beauty, busy on the Australian leg of her ‘Bangerz’ tour, may be wrecking headlines today for lifting some NSFW photos to her Instagram page, but the photos come after a slew of NSFW-news featuring Disney’s former darling.  The most prevalent being the singer’s Quentin Jones-directed, risque short film ‘Tongue Tied’ – a bondage heavy affair topped off with nipple clamps and riding crops – being removed from this month’s New York City Porn Festival.

While rumors swirl on if she actually ever submitted the film herself, the announcement follows her statements to MAC Viva Glam (her latest endorsement gig) as she dishes on the importance of being a role model for young girls, feminism, etc:

Cyrus on “dressing appropriately”
“I always tell people, I don’t have to wake up and go work in a normal office. I’m able to be free, and my fans are young too.”

Cyrus on “Celebrity”
“Everyone is getting Instagram famous, purely because of what they’re wearing, what they look like. You get more likes if your ass looks big, or your titties…it’s crazy. And 15 year old girls are looking at these girls and thinking that’s what they’re supposed to look like, and that isn’t life. People are chasing something that doesn’t exist, a lot of girls.”

Cyrus on Feminism
“I’m a feminist because I’m female empowered and I want to give fucking women jobs and I want them out there being leaders and being badass, totally, but I want the same thing for men as well.”

Cyrus on Being a Role Model:
“ I think being a role model is about how you are when you’re not being [a certain way] for your fans. Be a role model because you’re a good person, and because you’re a good person you should be a role model. Don’t be a good person because you think you’re a role model.”

The aforementioned quotes were lifted to the web just a week before news surfaced that Cyrus had parted ways with longtime publicist and is now being represented by ID PR – public relations home of Alicia Keys, Frank Ocean, and more. Read more about that here.

Fans who just can’t get enough of Miley will be thrilled to know her ‘Bangerz’ tour DVD hits shelves March 24.

    Madonna’s influence. That’s why she’s a legend.

  4. Skyfall February 12, 2015

Miley is a hot ass mess, shes acting out like a coked w**** trying to detach herself from her disney image, but she is only making herself look bad in the process. She will never be on Madonnas level. Too bad because BangerZ is a good album

    • SipTheTruth February 12, 2015

LOL! At her hypocrisy. Like girl in ways you’re considered a negative influence on young girls yourself, but to act like you’re a good role model when your not. The irony…

how is the short film bad? it shows her as a woman taking charge of her own sexuality, not unlike what madonna did in the 80s.

  8. Grande The Way February 12, 2015

It’s hard to take anything she says seriously when most of what she has done is done for publicity. Her comments on feminism were just laughable. Miley seems confused as an artist and a young woman.

It could be worst, she could be Lindsay Lohan. I think Miley is calculating, she is very smart and is very much aware of what she is doing.

There is no questioning, Miley will likely be the biggest pop star to ever exist, possibly even bigger than Madonna.

Unlike her peers, she has got the ability to plan ahead. She has already calculated her next career move.

she is actually a pretty girl.

  13. LDN Chick February 12, 2015

The girl who said this to rolling stones:

She told the magazine’s contributing editor Josh Eells: ‘One time I smoked a joint with peyote in it, and I saw a wolf howling at the moon.’

Miley added: ‘Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better. And Molly, too. Those are happy drugs – social drugs. They make you want to be with friends. You’re out in the open. You’re not in a bathroom.’

Miley, who will share in MTV documentary Miley: The Movement on October 3rd, more continued: ‘I really don’t like coke. It’s so gross and so dark. It’s like, what are you, from the ’90s? Ew.’

  14. Biting Truth February 12, 2015

Miley Cyrus is a fuckn’ joke. She’s the equivalent to Psy. Anybody who would even dare consider taking her at all seriously enough to appreciate anything she does has screw loose. I’m sorry but some things should never be tolerated, and she’s one of them.

    Good Morning?!Its Shower Time!

  16. MISHKA February 12, 2015

Miley Cyrus will never fade, as long as she keeps her music credibilty on fleek.

Miley and Ariana will stick around for the next 15 years. I was so proud of Lil Ari at the Grammys!
