After reports that member Maxine Jones is fighting to hold on to her home currently in foreclosure, her fellow ‘Hold On’ hitmakers, En Vogue, are looking to hold on to a little more than love this week after news surfaced the ladies will be heading to court to defend themselves against a $300 million law suit.

With claims of breach of contract, negligence, interference and fraud, find out who has it out for the funky divas below:

The past four years have seen the 90s group embroiled in a series of legal battles, mostly with each other.  After going through a series of lineup changes, the group – now comprised of original members Terry Ellis, Maxine Jones, and Cindy Herron – are heading to court against label Rufftown Entertainment.

Via JETMag:

“The label is suing two of the original members, Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron, for over $300 million with claims that the “Free Your Mind” singers violated an exclusive recording contract.

Rufftown Entertainment owner, René Moore expressed that he paid the two ladies and former member, Maxine Jones approximately, $190,000 in 2010, reports Billboard. The deal was initially supposed to include two albums and touring, in addition to travel costs and studio time.

And well, it’s, unfortunately, clear that the comeback tour efforts faded and failed.  Moore is seeking more than $310 million in damages.”

A day after the story broke, former member Dawn Robinson took to Twitter to lift the cryptic message:

All the hate here, damn, whats wrong with you people?

Those are talented ladies and had been very successful. Too bad that they Seem to be broke nowadays. Wonder how that happened.

  11. FutureCIARA February 14, 2015

Where in THEE fukk are they getting $300Million coins from?

That is a ridiculous amount for some girl group that is no longer in the spotlight.

  12. TheElusiveLamb February 14, 2015

LMAOOOOO! Ok En Vogue was the best vocals of any girl group of all time (besides Labelle), but they ruined it with their egos. They could have easily killed a comeback tour and made millions, but instead they are sitting miserable, seemingly broke, and desperate. I don’t get why they couldn’t just settle their differences and LET IT GO. Seriously, if SWV can do their mild comeback I don’t get why EV3 or EV4 can’t kill it. Anyway, whoever think that they are getting $300 million from them is crazy as hell. This is not Beyoncé, Mariah, Celine, or MJ, so please stop the delusion.

Dawn messed it up on the first place and she drive a put put herself. Envogue is the greatest vocal group ever. All singing strong leads hamonizes

  14. HOWYOULIKEIT February 14, 2015

Maxine’s name should not appear in this. The two other ladies Terry and Cindy brought her to court and Maxine is not part of en vogue anymore, she cant even use the name. So good luck with these two.
The one girl responsible of this mess is TERRY ELLIS. Since the beginning she was sleeping with the group manager and refused to open her eyes when the group was broke and being screwed while they were successfull. She convinced Cindy to refuse a good deal offered to the group after their funky divas album. Since then Dawn left cause aint no way you should work and be broke. And a couple of years later Maxine also left cause she was tired of that messy situation. Terry and Cindy should pay for all of that now.

  16. whenindoubtthetruthwillout February 14, 2015

    They were soooo good!!! Shame!

  17. Avi February 14, 2015

Dawn is both selfish and smart. She thinks she’s worth more than she is but at the same time is able to recognize a b******* contract and is smart enough to not tangle herself up in one. Cindy and Terry, bless their hearts, are so desperate to keep the group together that their willing to take scrappy deals that are more trouble than they’re worth.

  18. Marcus February 14, 2015

That’s what they get! Dawn and Maxine should be sued too!

  19. ctopher February 14, 2015

Dawn’s cryptic messages?? What’s been in the crypt is in fact her OWN attempt to stardom. Tell me why her rotten ovaries make an appearance only when En Vogue makes headlines? This crazy woman needs to check herself in several seats.

  20. Hahaha February 15, 2015

    $300M is trying it,
But I don’t blame the label in situations like these. They invested money, which could have been used for a new artist, in these women only for them to not fulfill their contractual agreements.

  21. blame dis February 17, 2015

Dawn I still love u!!! U and max were the TRUE funky divas!!!! Those other two heffas can go sing with their pop voices you and max have edge and I love u both!!!!
