Lady GaGa‘s status as one of Pop’s hardest workers is no dream sequence. It’s reality.
The ‘Bad Romance’ belter has only just come off the road from ‘The ARTPOP Ball’ world tour, yet is still promoting Grammy winning Jazz effort ‘Cheek To Cheek’ with Tony Bennett and recording the follow-up too 2013’s ‘ARTPOP’.
As reported, the latter has seen her return to the studio with longtime parter in rhyme RedOne.
News that Mother Monster had re-teamed with the creator of ‘Romance’, ‘Just Dance’ and many of her other hits, delighted fans in earnest – given their lengthy “break” from one another and the climate of expectation awaiting the singer’s next project.
Unlike previous LP’s, GaGa has been notable in her (relative) silence about the creation of this, her fifth, set.
RedOne, however, has – in a new interview – shared a morsel of info about their reunion and their process of recording.
His words below…
An excerpt from the hitmaker’s recent feature in The National read:
“Right now I’m again working with Lady Gaga – it’s been a big thing for both of us,” he said.
“We took a little break from each other and now it feels like we are in a good place, both of us. She did her thing, I did my thing, and it feels like we’re back on track together.”
The 42-year-old producer revealed that songwriting sessions were taking place in Los Angeles, with the project likely to take up the rest of 2015. He also confirmed reports that disco pioneer Giorgio Moroder was involved in the project.
“With Gaga, I’m fully committed until we’re done – we’re just going to work on writing songs – 20, 30, 40 songs – until we get hopefully the best album of the decade,” he said. “The new material feels great. And that’s what it is like with me and her – when we both feel great, it’s incredible. A lot of it is to do with trust, no ego, just love for the music. And when it’s fun and respectful, putting the egos aside, it’s magic.” {Source}
When as gifted as GaGa, a “comeback” in the commercial sense of the word is just a song or two away. Hence, we remain uber excited to see what GaGa and her arguable Quincy Jones are cooking up.
On another note, it’s refreshing to see Red be frank about the “egos”, because historically it’s something that has dented otherwise solid unions.
Great to see them back together.

This pretentiousness was one of the reasons of her demise as a Pop star, they really think a Pop record full of dance and disco hits can be considered superior to albums of other music genres, remember Beyoncé vs Morning Phase, popularity vs quality, not even Thriller was the best album of the 80’s, let the music speak for itself.

That said, he was asked and he answered. It´s no big deal. And also he said they are doing good, not that he has the album of the decade, he said he wants to achieve that. It´s kind of pretencious but I don´t give a f*** about what a producer says about an upcoming project. It´s good to have ambition before start working I guess. Then you need to be humble once the product is finished though.
