DJ Mustard works his magic on Rihanna‘s ‘FourFiveSeconds’ this month, teaming up with the Grammy winning performer to release a remix to the single.

Now available to spin below, the remix drops as the cut’s video dominates British television with spins garnered on all major music channels, set to help its parent album on a commercial tip when it drops later on this year.

So, could Mustard’s magic be what the cut has been missing?

Find out below…

Yes!

Though we still think the cut could do without Kanye, this remix is just what Rihanna needed to clean up the mess that is the original.

Let’s hope the positive response this version is sure to garner will encourage the star to play to her strengths with its follow-up singles!

Your thoughts?

14th #1 hookers! Oh and i EBT is at 96 on the hot 100. Hahahaha, well at least she’s on it.

    • Solange February 5, 2015

In fairness to Ciara, I Bet is a good R&B song regardless of its commercial performance.

      • Mark111 February 5, 2015

It is, but it’s no different from any of her “poor me, I can’t find love and ANOTHER rapper played me” ballads.
        .
        .Never Ever.
        .Sorry.
        .My Love.
        #ZZZzzzzzzzzz

      • FutureCIARA February 5, 2015

Exactly, Like it debuted at #13 on the RnB chart. Its clear thats the genre and audience Ciara was trying with this RnB record….

        But keep reaching!

    • Missy February 5, 2015

Girl BYE. The song is horrible and the vocals are flat. I think we have a problem …..start over RIRI

      • Al February 5, 2015

Even worse than the original ain’t nobody checking. I can smell a gaga happening #artflop #fourfiveflop

    • FutureCIARA February 5, 2015

And its #13 on the RnB chart…. So dont pull it! And your clearly pressed by bringing up Ciara everytime you comment here. Find yourself some chill.

      • Mark111 February 5, 2015

Isn’t the r&b chart is just 20 songs? Let me point out the distance between FourFive and i EBT. #15 vs #96

    • Faf February 5, 2015

  6. Audreyherbsburn February 5, 2015

    It sounds kinda childish

    • Mark111 February 5, 2015

      Very Rugrats meets Crash Bandicoot.

      • Dem Lessers February 5, 2015

I was just about to say was this made for a new Rugrats movie soundtrack?!

      • Special Delivery February 5, 2015

        LOOL

      • rosy February 5, 2015

Says a non illiterate bey fan I’m surprised you decipher the words to the song I guess your reading is getting better

      • B**** I Can’t Even Spell Welfare February 5, 2015

        LMAO!

      • AmbeRussell February 5, 2015

It is too up beat and should have used some more minor times as oppose to everything being in the major. The beat is too juvenile

  7. Black power February 5, 2015

Okkkkk…. I couldn’t help but bopp to it while listening. I still feel like this single is just the appetizer… Now Rih serve us the ENTRE single

  8. Mark111 February 5, 2015

This DJ has no range. He use the same damn buttons everytime, but hey, those EMD sissies do the same, so I guess it’s ok. But if he wants to be a Timberland and not a Lil John, then he needs to step out the played out norm.

    • AmbeRussell February 5, 2015

But edm djs produce songs for themselves, dj mustard produce songs for other to buy from him, so for his benefit, u gotta switch it up. Bc where is mike will made it right now? He has slowly fallen off. Each producer has had their peak , some lasted longer than others, but why is t just blaze here but pharell is? Why is timbaland everywhere still working woth the biggest male pop star but Switz beats is getting Alicia pregnant?

      • AmbeRussell February 5, 2015

And this isn’t to down play any of their talents, but to show u hot for a moment until the next sound comes. And anyone can replica your sound once u become one dimensional. But u can be hot now and cold later, but repeating the same ish will keep u from getting requested by artist /labels

      • Mark111 February 5, 2015

Yep, I agree with everything you said. Timberland is stikk here and is a legend because he isn’t afraid ti take it to the next level. Most of the time it works, some time it doesn’t, but we still respect him. Pharrel is played out again. And don’t forget the others that were hot for 1 year. Polo, Danja, Dream, Scot starch and others. Not many can have the legacy of Dre, Tim and maybe Kanye as a producer.

  9. lovebeyonce February 5, 2015

This Sundays Grammys is shaping out to be one hell of an event. I mean you have Lady gaga, Katy Perry, Madonna, Rihanna, Beyonce and Taylor Swift. Im too excited.

And Im here for beyonce’s killah voices yall, i need to sang for me.

and yes at the riri, kanye and paul performance.

and madonnna performing is the icing on the cake … she better be opening the damn show.

and secondly sam must stop tryna insinuate that fourfive seconds is flop. it was released only last week. riri will perform it at the grammys, and trust me the sales boost can easily push it number within the next 1-8 weeks see: happy and all of me for reference.

and on AOTY i’d love beyonce to win, but i feel like the grammies think she’d be an obvious choice so they’d go with someone else like Beck whose more conservative.

It will be one interesting night.

    #holdingontomyweave!!!

    • Solange February 5, 2015

+ Mary J Blige! If Mariah woould be on there as well, it’d officially be a Divas night.

    • RihHive February 5, 2015

This Grammy line up is everything. If your fav released anything recently and is not performing obviously they are not worth s***. Im loving the star studded line up.

      • nicki will slay February 5, 2015

Beyonce is the only PERFORMER booked.
        No disrespect to Usher.
Anyway, I wish they would have given some of the new kids on the block a chance like Tinashe or Jhene Aiko.

  10. JJFan1814 February 5, 2015

Sam you tried it. When DJ Mustard teased this on IG, Rihanna replied “Oh?!”. She probably was the hold up which is to why it’s dropping 6 days late.

    • RihHive February 5, 2015

Yh I saw that too. Rihanna had nothing to do with this remix. dj mustard is flying solo on this one.

  11. S****** Blonde February 5, 2015

No thanks, the song is perfect for what it is, a simple acoustic melody, @David i can’t believe you called the original a mess, because it’s not generic dance or R&B?

  12. remy February 5, 2015

Lol at this though i don’t see it this time around for her. For onevshe should of picked slowly is she hasn’t as already please don’t let this be another whip my hair move.

    • remy February 5, 2015

Ah whatever at this optimus phone check, blah i wasted 2 seconds of hate for nothing.

  13. Rihboy February 5, 2015

Not a fan of this remix at all!!! I was expecting more of an urban twist. Maybe it will grow on me.

  14. britneyraycarey February 5, 2015

this remix is trash and corny

  15. Dem Lessers February 5, 2015

Ok…so it’s looks like I’ll be waiting for the next single before I download anything from Rihanna in 2015.

  16. Special Delivery February 5, 2015

    Wtf is this mess?

  17. LB February 5, 2015

  24. bria February 5, 2015

Bey will be lipping i mean if you dont sing live at the freaking inauguration

Amd then she will bask in all the adulation as if it isnt lipped

    Bey=no integrity

I rather have rihanna s real live and imperfect vocals then beyfake s fake perfect vocals

    • Tyler February 5, 2015

You sound stupid. Shut the f*** up, fool.

    • Bayley February 5, 2015

Beyonce Can sing, but this isn’t about Beyonce so i don’t get why people when defending an artist they have to go after another artist that has nothing to do with the damn topic! learn to debate without dragging in things that are not relevant

  25. Mark111 February 5, 2015

Meanwhile Adele 21 just sold another damn million units. Does she even have to release a new album? 21 is STILL on BB.

  26. doubline47 February 5, 2015

I really Love FourFiveSeconds! Can’t stop playing it

  27. Tyler February 5, 2015

The Grammy’s is going to be hot this year. The line up is amazing and there’s actually some type of anticipation going on…reminds me of the back back days.

  28. Tyler February 5, 2015

    Haunted remix>>>>

  29. StarXavi February 5, 2015

I love the original song….i commend Rihanna on trying a different direction. People will hate either way…I’m sure she is unbothered.

  30. FutureCIARA February 5, 2015

    GARBAGE!

  31. Charlieyoncé February 5, 2015

The original version is way better. I’m just gonna sweep this mess of a remix under the rug and pretend it never happened. Sigh

    • Bayley February 5, 2015

      agreed

  32. Cake like Lady GaGa February 5, 2015

I like the original. And kii at the H.IV+ f**** working overtime on a Riherpes post, yet they claim to hate her. The kiii’s write themselves

  33. Bayley February 5, 2015

To Be Honest The Song Isn’t Bad, its Just Different, people hated Diamonds, People Hated Only Girl, not saying its up to par, just saying its different, and some people hate change. i think its a good direction, its adult contemporary, its experimental. bravo and Kudos to her for taking a chance like Rated R. did. not her best, but she didn’t play safe like most do.

  34. umm. February 5, 2015

Who knew it could get worse?
