‘Rolling in the Deep‘ singer Adele has enlisted the help of Lana Del Rey producer’s Emile Haynie this year, calling on the musician to create songs for her forthcoming album.

Full story below…

Responsible for Rey’s ‘Off to the Race‘, Emeli Sande‘s ‘My Kind of Love‘ and Bruno Mars’ ‘Locked out of Heaven‘, Haynie has now been called on to work his Grammy-winning magic on Adele’s discography.

How the world found out? A piece written in ‘The Fader’  which revealed:

Emile Haynie is in a great mood. Speaking to The FADER over Skype, the producer to the stars is back in the L.A. hotel room where, last year, he finally sat down and wrote his own debut album, We Fall. It’s much easier to get work done out here than it is in his native New York, he enthuses: “Here I wake up, and the sunlight is beaming in, and I wanna go do something.”

Today, he’s got a meeting with Adele, who’s sitting in another room while this interview happens (“Take three hours if you need!” she tells him, incredibly). It’s the first time they’ve met, but having produced for the likes of Kanye West and Lana Del Rey, you’d think it wouldn’t phase him. Yet the noticeable buzz he gets from meeting her makes it instantly apparent why great artists warm to him; “She’s super cool!” he tells me, coming back on the call after their brief hellos. “You can tell the second somebody walks in, no matter how massive of a star they are, if they’re just chill and cool you get that energy right away. And I just got it.

His work with the ‘21‘ singer comes before the February 23rd release of his solo album ‘We Fall‘ and as sales of the aforementioned ’21’ cruise towards the 12 million units sold milestone in the US.

either way, adele will never see “21” numbers again. she was just lucky with “21”. 25 will flop harder than a fish outta the water

Lmao it will sell 5x the amount of ArtFlop delusional b******

    • JOHNVIDAL February 11, 2015

It won´t flop. Obviously. It won´t see “21” numbers either. Obviously. And neither will any other artist so your “point” is absurd. She did that.

21 flopping will still slay Artpoop

Interesting. She might be going for a more up-beat sound for her next album. Probably in the lines of Rumor Has It. I hope so!

Those of u saying Grammy’s don’t deal on sales and popularity here is your answer!!
‘21′ was met with positive reviews, not critical acclaim!!! and was the highest selling from 2011-13!!! so if they are not after sales or popularity why did they give her? cause she’s white!! when its a black they got thorns of excuses! plus does Adele play any instruments? or does she solely writes and produces? Not a fattyonce fan but n***** gotta put on there thinking cap or will forever be cheated by whites!!

sidenotes- why didn’t they televise any rap categories? *sighs*

I’m interested in the direction her music will take. Now that she’s a mother and in a serious relationship. I’m hoping she covers topics like being a 1st time mother (her fears, experiences, expectations etc). I’ll be glad if she comes with uptempo ballads. Only time will tell. Take your time Adele, the pressure will make you fail as Jhene Aiko muses.

  7. NO TREBLE February 11, 2015

I’m so anxious to hear how her and Rihanna’s albums will sound!!!

  8. JOHNVIDAL February 11, 2015

I can´t wait to see some real sales in nowadays music industry 🙂 Whenever she decides to drop her album, no one will stand a chance.

Why it all has to be about record sales? If the music is good then i don’t care if it flops or not.

      • Jad February 11, 2015

wow preach!!! Exactly what i always say! People always get attracted to the high sales albums and music while it doesn’t matter wether the music good or bad! For an example: taylor swift is good and her album is good but yes she is soooo overrated and the album doesn’t deserve THAT much attention!

      • JOHNVIDAL February 11, 2015

Hmm… it was just a comment. Of course the quality of the album is more important than its sales. I just said that i wish the industry could be healthy again, huge. When it was like that, quality albums were more present in mainstream than nowadays.

Absolutely no shade whatsoever but do you guys remember Norah Jones? Her first two albums were huge sellers but she wasn’t able to repeat the same level of success after that. Not saying she isn’t successful now but it reminds me of Adele. The peak really quickly then people abandon them because of public perception. I wish Adele continued success though.

  10. MAN ON THE MOON (CATFISH CAREY) February 11, 2015

I STILL DON’T GET THE ADELE HYPE.

  11. S****** Blonde February 11, 2015

I don’t get the hype with Adele and “21”, sure she can sing but the music is not all that IMO. Amy’s “Back to Black” and everything Lana Del Rey has released are arguably the best female albums of the past 10 years.

    • Skyfall February 11, 2015

Agreed 19 was better than 21. But 21 was just feel good music that a lot of people from all different Afars and walks of life could listen to and enjoy. That’s probably why is sold like it did.

    • FutureCIARA February 11, 2015

I love you for this comment!!!

      Amy Whinehouse is LIFE!

  12. britneyraycarey February 11, 2015

Lana’s untalented ass is going to ruin Adele’s legacy… poor her, self-destruction to allow Lana to input on her album smh

    • Eeww February 12, 2015

Can you read you dumb fk? It’s the person who produced her album not Lana herself.

  13. SippingmyTea February 11, 2015

Adele should come out with an album she had some good songs !!

  14. FutureCIARA February 11, 2015

Slaydele has a set her own bar so high… She better get the British Royals to purchase her album to attain the same success as ’21’

  15. Lana Del Fan *I Can Hear The Sirens* February 11, 2015

    Yaaaaassssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!

Anywho. Who else is ready for honey moon? I wish lana was like RIHANNA and put out albums every year because BTD, Paradise and UV were/are everything but I need more! Wait for life was a cute single tho.
