Tinashe unwraps her brand new body of work for the world today, breathing new life into R&B’s ecosystem with the ‘Amethyst’ EP.
The release follows the unveiling of her ‘Black Water’ project in 2013 and serves as a teaser of things to come on her second studio album which features production from DJ Mustard.

As long her music matures later in her life her lane is safe. She has clever interesting songs. Not mature enough for my taste but if i was 20-25 id really be into her. Performances are always hot tho

Tried to claim MJ and Whitney as herb influences kniwing damn well Ciara is her main influence just like Tina Turner and Lil Kim were Beyonce’s main influences. Have several seats. This is why I am a fan of hers I know she is bringing something new to the table and with this mixtape she surely proved it. And hopefully people dont get clouded on thinking she needs to follow the same path or formula that another artist did, no, you just watch.

2nd album title: Amethyst – The birthstone of Aquarius is Amethyst
3rd album title prediction: Uranus (…of course, it’s not what you think…it’s actually the planet that rules Aquarius)
If you ask me, this girl is overrated.
I’m not hating and I’m sure the little 5 fans she has on here may think I am but she’s definitely far from a princess of anything her album has only sold about 60k ytd she has no major hit singles at all and she can barely sing live lol she’s an boring artist in my opinion she brings nothing new to the r&b game nor even popcorn industry her music is far from memorable I see her being the next tweet (no shade) if that.
When will Tinashe learn that this melodic music does not work for her, sure if her audience wants to be put to sleep or are smoking weed they may want this stuff in the background, the girl has all of the ingredients necessary to make a successful pop star she can dance, she can carry a tune, she looks good and she has some acting in her background. But despite how hard she goes on the dance floor for appearances, she has NO dance songs, if you can dance at least have a couple of dance tracks, how about some classic r&b music, why does she have to sing like she’s under water on every track. If Tinashe wants to stop paying for her own videos and start building a following maybe just maybe she needs to do some traditional pop music like Beyonce, Janet, Aaliyah, Rihanna and even Ciara (Who has at least been able to hang in there when so many have come and gone.) I’m rooting for Tinashe but so far she’s still a one hit wonder.
