Must See: Jay Z Claps Back At TIDAL Critics

Published: Sunday 26th Apr 2015 by Sam

Jay Z has had enough.

The rapper’s new streaming platform, TIDAL, has been the subject of much scrutiny since launching earlier this month. And, after maintaining a notable silence on the matter, the mogul is speaking up and out.

Moments ago, he took to Twitter to deliver a lengthy response to the naysayers.

His words below…

Needless to say, it’s a smart and arguably necessary move on Jay’s part to address the drama.

By and large, we agree with what he’s saying too. It takes a lengthy period of time for the true potential of a project such as this to reach its full potential. From where we’re standing, it’s disheartening to see so many almost willing it to fail.

That said, in keeping it 100, one of TIDAL’s immediate missteps was not touting the cool content and its exclusives from the onset. Instead, pushed to the forefront were the premium price (and not the standard $9.00 option) and the assembly of stars at “that” press conference.
It would have better served all involved to stage a low-key launch, with a primary focus on the platform’s unique points of difference (i.e. video and artist exclusives). The lack of anything to tantalise the masses ultimately left the door open for the detractors to attempt a tear-down.

In any case, the whole situation clearly needs some damage control. Can Jigga and co stage an Olivia Pope style turn-around? Let us know below…

Your thoughts?

Tidal is a sinking ship. RIP

    🙁

    • RIP April 26, 2015

Tidal has no free option unlike Spotify and Jay-Z is not a smart business.

      • Tidal Sucks April 26, 2015

This baboon will be declared bankrupt. Just wait…
I personally was excited to try Tidal but not even two clicks into the signup (after giving them Twitter details) was still forced to give a credit card to start my free trial. I bailed, closed the tab and came to write this. If they are focused on growth (which they may not be) there’s no reason to have so much friction to getting the public engaged with your product, especially at launch. Show me (and everyone else) your value before asking for money.

      • Truth Serum April 26, 2015

Tidal is dead on arrival and Jay- Z is like Lady Gaga. Spotify invented the concept of subscription streaming that Jay-Z is now copying.

      • Kuntye West April 26, 2015

Tidal can suck my balls like Beyonce did

      • Ha!!! April 26, 2015

        Maybe it’s Jay Z that’s sucks….. 😆

    • Thee Hee April 26, 2015

Good riddance to the greedy buggers!

      • BeyArmy April 26, 2015

I think using hip hop artists and dried up h** like Kanye, Nicki and Madonna as the company face was not a good idea. With the exception of Kanye, people seem to hate some hip hop artists for no reason. The services are cool, but it just didn’t do enough different. People have been listening to bootleg, low quality music for free for years. I don’t think people are willing to pay now just because the music is of a higher quality. Tidal was terribly marketed.

      • Just Saying April 26, 2015

Jay should only feature his wife when he wants to sell d*****, viagras or a*** wax….

      • xedos April 26, 2015

Jay z is greedy? the Chinese who makes apple product make around $36 US a month apple then sell you that same I phone for $600 . You’ll just don’t want to see the blackman survive.
If it was apple doing this the white media would be jumping up and down talking how its the greatest think since slice bread. These white folks don’t want black people to own nothing. the love for you to endorse their product and they give you a few million while they pass the company to their kids. We blacks we don’t own shyt that’s why we get no respect. You’ll acting like the black folks on fox acting like coosn talking shyt about Obama and their own black people. the mistake Jay Z made is he should not use the Hi Fi price as a selling point because most people don’t even know the difference or they don’t have the equipment to hear the difference. he should push the $9.00 price as the selling point and and then use pop up to inform people about the hifi price give them the hifi for 3 months free and the if they don’t want it just switch them to the standard version. He thought people would love the hi fi,but people just want to hear music clear. look how much money people pay for stupid beats by dre headset. when Bose is way superior to that garbage.

    • Lana Del Fan *I Can Hear The Sirens* April 26, 2015

I feel the same, but when I think about it. I wonder if we’re harder on him (subconsciously) because he’s black? Like we don’t give this much flack to other people. Idk. If it was 5 dollars for the cheap subscription and 10 for the meaty subscription, I’d be on it. But as for now I don’t see why tidal is better than free spotify?

      • FAF April 26, 2015

We’re harder on him because he started out bragging about how much money he had now he ‘s asking the world to support his friends (with money) and make them richer

maybe he should’ve partnered with someone more business minded

  2. BeyIsKing April 26, 2015

It’s too early to deem Tidal a failure. You can not decide on the success or failure of a business within the very first month. I think in a couple of years once Tidal has shown all it has to offer it will pick up.

    • TheElusiveLamb April 26, 2015

Stupid. You didn’t read the news, did u?

Tidal’s app has dropped out of the iPhone top 700 downloads chart but the lowest blow is the fact that its competition, Spotify, soared into the top 20.

      • TheElusiveLamb April 26, 2015

Please don’t troll as me. That s*** is not cute.

    • Truth Serum April 26, 2015

No, Tidal won’t beat Spotify because it lacks the capital to burn money for years to acquire customers. And with so few users, Tidal’s one advantage — these so-called “exclusives” — are a non-starter because these megastars aren’t going to offer anything truly worthwhile to such a small number of listeners. Why pay if you can get it for FREE?

      • JohnVidal April 26, 2015

If this is the music business, they can have it.
The art and the talent are gone ,and now, it is only the “business”.
You can dress up a thug ,but they are still a thug.

      • FAF April 26, 2015

as we see with American Oxygen, nobody cares enough to download an app for a music video that’s gonna be shared on blogs, anyway

Theyd rather wait a week, forcing the artist to upload it to VEVo once they see they’re flopping

and now at this point she’s shot her self in the foot bc today’s industry works on shock value.. without the initial boost, Tidal will cause the artists to lose

Kanye deleted his tweets about it altogether bc its not worth him to hit any lower he’s already experienced public backlash he doesn’t wanna go through it again

    • Hurmmmm April 26, 2015

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Tidal is a tragic flop.

    • TheElusiveLamb April 26, 2015

Like before…he will wh0ring his wife once again.
      Just wait….. 🙁

    • AmbeRussell April 26, 2015

They or anyone can’t compare tidal to spotify or pandora as tidal had a huge grand opening publicly. They didnt come in quietly, they had a huge campaign abd yes it is early, but having high quality music our headphone can’t even show a difference to isnt worth a $10 subscription. Yeah you might get all this extra stuff, but the only ppl hurting are the fans abd then the artist who have exclusive rights but their fans don’t have the app. He shoulda got artist who fans have fatter pockets than twitter followers. Also, artist like beyonce were making bank on spotify etc. only ppl hurting were the indie artist, who made pennies compared to bey or t swift.

  3. LOL April 26, 2015

    …just like Beyonce’s 7/11 ???

    • trellbeylike April 26, 2015

      And American Oxygen

Which continues to flop at #151 on iTunes.

      • LOL April 26, 2015

      • Mooriah Cowry April 26, 2015

Don’t assume Jay Z is that smart. He became a billionaire by selling lame fashion and producing for b******* performers. He’s never actually run a business that existed on anything but hype, which is why he’s probably pretty confused right now about why people aren’t flocking to his product.

      • XXX April 26, 2015

Well could you do any better?

  4. Marcella April 26, 2015

Whatever. His daughter with Beyoncs is so cute. Loving those wedding pictures.

    • Truth Serum April 26, 2015

If Blue Gorrila didn’t know from the start that this was all about putting (even more) money into Daddy Jay-Z’s pockets…and nothing else…i don’t know what you’ve been paying attention to Tidal.

      🙁

  5. BeyIsKing April 26, 2015

Anyways putting The Mrs. Carter Show on Tidal might help. Seriously though Beyoncé has released all her world tours in full on DVD….why not this one. 🙁 🙁 🙁

  6. Centurion April 26, 2015

He didn’t write any of this. We all that Jay Z and his wife are severely illiterate. I don’t even know how that Mexican or Hispanic baby will turn out as an adult.

    • Kisses Down Low April 26, 2015

Why are you back? No ones here for you on this site with your lame drags.

    • OMG Logic!!! April 26, 2015

Don’t listen to the haters. I’m here for the Camel and Thighyonce drags.

  7. truthtea April 26, 2015

Excuses excuses excuses! IDC how long its been, you’re running a music streaming service and since that is how most people buy their music these days, Tidal should be doing better!

Even if I were a fan of Jay and Bey, I still wouldn’t spend $20 a month putting my hard earned money into their greedy pockets.

  8. Kisses Down Low April 26, 2015

    Ok awf Mr Carter!

  9. Nicw Try Tho April 26, 2015

who is gonna pay 10 or 20 dollars a month to hear the weakest of the weakest jay z bars on that beyonce album?

  10. shakira stan April 26, 2015

Shut up jay…you are just as stupid as the mother of your m*****.

  11. TheElusiveLamb April 26, 2015

It is too early to call, but I think the service is amazing for artists. If they can’t sell, they at least deserve to make a substantial amount of money from the millions of streams.

    • Guess April 26, 2015

I agree that it’s fair that they earn more for their work, but why at the expense of the fans?

      • TheElusiveLamb April 26, 2015

Bc $20 a month shouldn’t be a lot if you don’t buy albums.

      • Guess April 26, 2015

Beyoncé and Rihanna’s main demographic, (who makes up most of their sales), is going to be a girl between, let’s just say ages 15-28. The average fan, is probably a college student. $20 a month is not impossible, but it’s not practical. The issue with tidal is not that people can’t afford it, they just don’t want to pay for it.

  12. Cake like Lady GaGa April 26, 2015

THE STRUGGLE!!! just like his t***** wife, Gay-Z is done!! And not him begging people on twitter to join tidal, did he miss his annual illuminati payment??

  13. NickiBaby April 26, 2015

Jay Z needs to pay Kendrick And Cole to drop their joint album exclusively on Tidal the service will BlowUp. I don’t know for how long but it will.

We don’t really need a joint album from Beyonce and Jay-Z.

    • Lake Erie April 26, 2015

Mmmm. I don’t think that’s a good idea. That’d be risky. You see what happened with Rihanna’s American Oxygen. I never thought about it it but it probably would have been bigger than what is was. Cuz like everyone is ranting about on here, whose going to pay that much to hear a song?

      • Lake Erie April 26, 2015

But I for one am going to try it. Just to see the hype..

      • Lake Erie April 26, 2015

        O yea, Sidenote:
Anyone notice Jay-z hasn’t been on Twitter in years prior to his rant? Lol.

  14. Emerald April 26, 2015

I agree with him anyone smart with a business mind knows its too early to call it a flop. With that said, the odds are against the service.

  15. Yeah I Said It April 26, 2015

Jay Z has a lot of ambition and he is a smart business mogul. I respect him for that. A real story of rags to riches. Whether this underperforms or not he still came, saw and conquered while you broke bums screaming flop will never.

    • shakira stan April 26, 2015

How do you know we will never… Do you hold our future in your palms?
Or do you know the person behind every moniker?
      Shut the hell up!

  16. Barb-wire April 26, 2015

How stupid can some people be? Tidal is only a month old! Do you think any of the successful businesses were successful in one month? Really y’all are stupid.

    • Mark111 April 26, 2015

They broke twitter and had every current music star on their stage and Skype. So MILLIONS seen the launch and knows about it. We just don’t care to try the service.

  17. Arie April 26, 2015

How is his cousin moving to Nigeria suppose to make people care? All he needs to do is explain what his service does differently compared it’s competition and explain how paying $20 a month would benefit you as a consumer. If these tweets were meant to convince people that the service is on solid ground then he has failed if anything it shows me that he is feeling under pressure and is trying to pull the songwriter card. Only problem is he did not have a single songwriter in his panel and instead had multimillionaire who benefit regardless of whether a CD sell or not. He needs to go back to the drawing board and start by listening to consumers.

  18. fatusankoh April 26, 2015

Jay will do just fine I ,Love I am happy I sign to it

  19. Bravo!! April 26, 2015

Jayz see the future of music and I do believe Tidal will stand side by side with iTunes. iTunes wanted to do a deal with Beyoncé after the success of her last album. Now they’re going to release their joint album on Tidal. I believing in someone their also going to take billboard out of the loop in the future. Jayz a smart man, but some of the critics don’t want to see a black man achieve. Like jays said it only being a month.

  20. Royalkev April 26, 2015

Glad he said his piece! This one time should be all it takes! I don’t think we can analyze how well Tidal is doing until AT LEAST a year from now! Anyone in a rush to is only eager to see it fail. I haven’t planned to sign up for it yet, but I just think there’s no telling where this can go right now.

  21. Centurion April 26, 2015

In spite of him marrying Beyonce, Jay Z is a true role model. I like him and I will continue to support him. I just wish that his wife would get her sh*t together and stop stealing, stop her fraudulent behavior, and pay the people she owes, like the surrogate who gave birth to her Hispanic baby with questionable looks. =)

    • Overdose April 26, 2015

Lmao someone doesn’t know the purpose of a surrogate.

  22. jaquala April 26, 2015

Still not worth $20 a month. Okay we get offers on tickets but Ticketmaster is still gonna wack. The only middleman he talking about is the shady ones however I don’t see how this app is benefitting us as lisyeners. The line up consist of people who are already Mega rich so I’m confused as to why he saying it’s not making the rich even richer. Idk personally for me if they come down on the fee cool if not I’ll stick to spotify

  23. Bravo!! April 26, 2015

Rite now jayz has the biggest name in music on Tidal. Coldplay, Alicia keys, and other big artist so we don’t know who going to release of Tidal. But I’m sure every Artist that connected to Tidal will release and make Tidal successful.

  24. RDK April 26, 2015

i agree, with both jay-z and grape, people are treating this like first week sales of a album, anyways i have a faith in it that it will pick up over time.

  25. KeKe April 26, 2015

Lol at him sending his cousin to Nigeria just hope he finds whatever he is looking for ????????

  26. Overdose April 26, 2015

I thought the navy said Rih was so impactive? Why couldn’t American Flopping save Tidal?

    • SMH April 26, 2015

Why couldn’t so-called queen beyonce’s involvement? That’s the bigger question.

      • XXX April 26, 2015

What exclusive material has Beyonce released on there besides an amateur video you can’t even buy?

      • SMH April 26, 2015

Um, but I thought you clowns said that her name alone has so much “power”. Yet Tidal is still tanking. So much for her “powerful” name….

      • XXX April 26, 2015

Her name alone is power. But this is Jay Zs endeavour not Beyonces so I’m failing to see the weak point you’re trying to grasp to.

      • SMH April 26, 2015

She signed on as co-owner of this endeavor, so she’s a part of its failure too. What your weak attempt at defending her with your blind worship failed to grasp is the concept of ‘partnership’.

      • XXX April 26, 2015

Honey, Beyonce has an investment like all the other artists. I know how it works. You’re just reaching with T Rex arms. You on the other hand with your other account LOL was the one saying the Carter’s ‘needed’ Rihanna. Like the Ciara Stan said, Rihanna’s the only one who has released something worth while on there and it didn’t help a thing. Explain?

      • SMH April 26, 2015

Still waiting on you to explain why just beyonce’s name wasn’t enough to take Tidal to historic heights. Guess we’ll both be waiting huh…

      • XXX April 26, 2015

Because she hasn’t produced anything in its aid yet. Like Rihanna. But the original question was about Rihanna and you made it about Beyonce. Try again.

      • Jewel April 26, 2015

Beyonce wasn’t the one who said ‘theres so much power in my name’ in one of her songs. Are you confused?

  27. Blue Gorrila Ivy April 26, 2015

Who wants to support an elite who embeds satan in their products. Jayz isn’t inspirational. He is a thug who wants people to buy his product. Wether its drugs, songs, or a website the method for making money from his outlook is the same. Thuggery.

Hell Netflix is the biggest streaming company on the globe…..I’ll dare Tidal to f*** with them. Tidal could have been big, But. I think Jay completely blew it by putting a bunch of millionaires on the stage. If he had made the launch more engaging for the FANS and introduced some underground artists who don’t get as much shine, maybe he would have gotten more support. He made it all about the artists, yes they are important too, but you are to focus primarily on your customers. Thats business 101.

    • SMH April 26, 2015

That’s exactly where he made his mistake. Nobody sympathises with a bunch of multimilllionaires complaining about ‘not getting paid enough’.

    • xedos April 26, 2015

n***** don’t vote they don’t own business why should politician listen to you.? it doesn’t matter how Jay Z talk about community if you don’t own the business in your community you’re screwed he gives college scholarships to people who needs it. only 2 things gets politician attention
Money and votes. Blacks don’t vote and they hate on each other who starts a business.

  43. Mark111 April 26, 2015

It’s going to take a while. It’s like Windows Phone vs Android and iOS, Win was a better OS, but it was late to the party. But it’s clear that the big boys are smearing Tidal. It’s going to take alot, heck Apple had to buy Beats By Dre mainly for its streaming site because iTunes Radio flopped and was a failure. There’s more players in this than Spotify and Pandora.
    .
But to get a Carter to speak out is something, they’re obviously. Bothered. #MarkFact

Jay Z wants to be Steve Jobs. The HUGE difference is that Steve Jobs created Innovative products to make people’s lives easier and take the world forward and Jay Z is just trying to make money. HUGE difference and I pity you for not seeing it that this is going to be a disaster.

    • Mark111 April 26, 2015

You’re stupid and knows nothing about tech. Steve didn’t invent anything, it took what was already out there, dumb it down for your simple minded folks and had great marketing. Steve was the Diddy of tech, just an idealist.

      • Barb B**** April 26, 2015

But you think Homes numbers is because of Rihanna.

    • Blue Gorrila Ivy April 26, 2015

Because Jay Z is a mediocre rapper who became rich by self-promotion in a big media market and promoting fashion and other mediocre performers with a couple of catchy tunes. At no point in his career has he ever offered a superior product, so it’s not surprise at all that he failed when he tried to enter a field that requires you to offer one if you’re going to compete and win. *I’m a guy who’s loved some hiphop over the years, and I’ve always thought Jay Z was pretty crap beyond a couple of songs. Albums full of sewage with a couple of flashes of brilliance floating on top*

  45. #JACKIE April 26, 2015

He’s so narcissistic that he found a bunch of the richest, most powerful popular artists and promoted it like they were signing the f****** constitution kii. It’s a flop and no ones buying point blank period.

    • Mark111 April 26, 2015

      Why wasn’t Ciara there? ????

    • Rihboy April 26, 2015

An Ciara will still flop! Regardless. Ciara isn’t there because nobody would stream a damn thing from her. Don’t bash tidal boo. It probably would do Ciara some justice to release through tidal. We all know she will flop with low numbers. The proceeds will divided and she probably won’t end up with a dime. Russell can’t save her. Kim k couldn’t save her, neither future. After hearing all of the flop songs she is offering it looks like another or stunt is due for release soon. Let’s see what’s she conjures up. She ain’t making no noise.

      • Rihboy April 26, 2015

        Pr *

  46. condolences TIDAL April 26, 2015

    someone is…maddddddd !!!! 😀

  47. Mark111 April 26, 2015

Rihanna already saved Def Jam and DreamWorks. She can’t save every failing company Mr. Z. Lol

    • Barb B**** April 26, 2015

Delusion. Rihanna had nothing to do with Homes moderate success we already established this.

      • Rihboy April 26, 2015

Who is we. The barbs? Just like what’s that movie she did ? Right. Hush honey.

      • truth teller April 26, 2015

Yeah, she’s only the sstar of the movie, dumbarse

  48. Barb B**** April 26, 2015

    I have diabetes because I’m 400 lbs.????

  50. Nicki M April 26, 2015

😆 blown up before it even reached orbit! Love it, this service and the slimeballs behind it deserve this failure and many many more… Heres hoping all their next albums fail miserably and they sink out of public consciousness…. ASAP

    😆

  51. Blue Gorrila Ivy April 26, 2015

How hard is it for these asshats to figure out that all you need to do is offer a superior service compared to your competitors? If your actual sales pitch for your product is “it lets me make more money” you’re hilariously doomed to fail. Stupid!!!!

  52. Rosie April 26, 2015

770K subs? How many of them will leave at the end of the month when their free trial is finished? Tidal is only doing 1M streams per day when individual songs on Spotify regularly reach that number multiple times. Also Spotify gives away 70% of its revenue to royalties so that’s not really as big as he thinks either. Nice try though.
I wish the best for him but right now, it’s not really looking good.

    • TheElusiveLamb April 26, 2015

actually more people are downloading than buying Lana’s singles…. 😀

      • Rosie April 26, 2015

        This is so weak because
        1. Tidal is already out of the App Store top 700 after a month
        2. Moo’s last album was outsold by Lana’s by like 8-9x worldwide and barely sold 200K max

      • TheElusiveLamb April 26, 2015

@Rosie You know that is not me, so why?

      • Rosie April 26, 2015

        Sorry, didn’t pay attention.
You know I don’t really come for your fave that much anymore.

  53. Ben April 26, 2015

tidal was such a bad move. but you can’t win everytime – even the carters lol
it’s cheaper to buy albums for 10€ than to pay 10 bucks every month. i don’t listen to everyone who is on tidal

  54. GRUMP April 26, 2015

This will fail, not cause it’s a bad idea, but because it’s going against all industry big wigs. Labels, ITunes. Pandora and Spotify barely make any profits and here comes TIDAL thinking it’s model can change anything. Except it’s artists are ready to start flopping big (i.e. Rihanna’s new releases) at the expense of TIDAL, this s*** will be gone soon.

  55. Blue Gorrila Ivy April 26, 2015

Jay Z was hoping to be a tech entrepreneur and it’s falling apart. Too bad he is so stupid.

    😀

  56. Mooriah Cowry April 26, 2015

Tidal is a death knell for the music industry, and thank goodness for that.

  57. Shady81 April 26, 2015

He should’ve offered a 30 day free trial base before making people cough up 20 a month just to see if the consumers would like it, or the maximum of a 60 day free trial base at the least I mean samsung now offers Milk music streaming with there new and upcoming smartphones when they came out with Samsung Galaxy S5 you can try it for free and if you want a premium you only pay $3.99 one time and you have as much music with as many options as you want. Spotify,Youtube,Vevo,Itunes,
etc many of the streaming brands have better backing, Better offers Etc,to me I just don’t see it I mean the artist get something out of the deal but what about the fans guess he doesn’t care about the fans hell even WWE Network is doing better than Tidal all I can say is Jay-Z you need more people.

    • OMG Logic!!! April 26, 2015

Milk music is a great example of a company starting a streaming service for the fans while at the same time promoting the sales of their phones.

  58. Stephon April 26, 2015

King Jay Zaddy. Mark, still running her sissified mouth on EVERY post I see.

  60. OMG Logic!!! April 26, 2015

  63. xedos April 26, 2015

Business wise blacks were better off during segregation. there were so successful that whites got jealous and slaughter them in Tulsa Oklahoma just google or you tube “black wall street in Tulsa”. But as soon as we could sit at the white man table we abandon all the black business and ran to spend our money with the white man then most of the black business fail. this is why blacks in America will always be at the bottom of the food chain in America. the legacy of slavery make us afraid to see our black sisters and brother succeed .we’re afraid they’re going to leave us and succeed .

  64. RihYonce April 26, 2015

Still think Beyoncé should’ve took that iTunes deal, but whatever they need to hurry up & drop this joint album because I’m ready for B6

  65. xedos April 26, 2015

What these label head are afraid of is artist controlling their masters. Prince say it best “if you don’t own your masters the Master will own you”. Giving up your Masters is like giving up all your publishing. its like you use your house ass asset to get a loan, but even after you pay off your loan the back still own your house how is that fair.?
When an artist sign a deal the label said for me to give you 2 mill to record and album you must turn over all your masters to me. you do and album that album make 10 million dollars the company make back their money 5 times over ,but they still own your masters. This is why rihanna did not resign with def jam. she now owns all her masters. this is what the powers that be are afraid of that’s why they’re paying journalist to write articles and brain wash people from supporongt tidal. if you all stan for an artist you should be glad they get to own their masters.
look how Much Jay Z 1st album sold and he gad to buy back the master from universal who owned it. he even said he over paid for it.

  68. S****** Blonde April 26, 2015

    The meltdown.

  69. Casual-T April 26, 2015

I do not believe Tidal can be turned around in its present form. The paradigm has shifted. Slow burns are rare nowadays. In today’s digital world, you can kind of gauge early on how an app or new service will do.

  70. Hyuna is 4minute | kelly kelly April 26, 2015

  72. coolness April 26, 2015

I like a good number of artists that were featured on that stage but that press conference turned me off so much! I remember being so angry I even wasted my time watching 15 mins of a bunch of millionaire’s sign some undisclosed document. As music fan, I could care less how many zeros are added to their bank account because that doesn’t affect me in any way. However, what I do care about is how their music makes me FEEL. I don’t buy a Beyonce or Usher album thinking, “Ooh, let me add more money to their fortune.” The marketing and rollout for TIDAL was hella disappointing and it just showed how out of touch Jay and the rest of the artist shareholders are with the current reality of the music business. I respect Jay but he gotta take this L and REGROUP!

  73. I STAN(D) IN LINE FOR HYDROQUINONE) April 26, 2015

    I love TIDAL

  74. Malika Epps April 26, 2015

Jay Z is always trying to “change the rules” or “change the game” and I’m sorta glad this backfired on him. He thinks he’s God and everything he says goes. The tidal press conference was one of the most pompous pieces of s*** I’ve ever seen! I mean really! A bunch of millionaires in their high fashion glory signing a f****** paper that makes Them even richer? I will stick with Spotify, thanks.

  75. yelyah the alternative queen April 27, 2015

who is the troll above that is trying so hard to be me. lololol and he just exposed himself as a troll by having 2 different avis, i bet its that asian dude.

  76. robyn April 27, 2015

Its funny how a lot of fans of artistz who weren’t on that tidal stage are bashing tidal. Tidal is actually a good thing for artist’s, it might be slcking for now but its only gonna get better. Don’t b mad that ure fave is dumb and doesn’t recognise what tidal means for an artist growth

  77. FutureCIARA April 27, 2015

As long as it continues being blamed for Rihanna’s FLOP era, I’m here for it!!!! LMFAOOO

  78. You wanna love it right better then my money April 30, 2015
