This will be one of the few times I agree with you. It’s business and competition. These other companies are fighting for market share, the only difference is that iTunes, google and others make most of their profits from smartphones and ads. Tidal is strictly music, so Pandora and Spotify will be it’s main competitors until Beats by Apple lunches. The plus the other boys have is that they have free, ad base services.
Like I said before putting millionaires at the forefront was a bad move. The cool kids club strategy only works when launching a club, It’s not like you’re gonna run into Rihanna in your living room while using Tidal. A phone call from Jay or anyone for that matter is hardly an incentive. He needs to lower the price to a competitive rate, spend money on actual marketing not pointless press conferences. It would also serve them or rather him well to not react every time an article comes out, if for whatever reason he decides to go that route provide facts that can actually be proven, keep your competitors names out of your rants and lastly if you are gonna come up with conspiracy theories back it up with proof. Good luck to Jay and company, believe it or not I want them to succeed.
I’ll sign up for Tidal if the joint album is released there(Hopefully itunes). 😀 It’s only been a month. Everyone should give tidal a chance to grow and reach it’s full potential. I think Jay messed up when he drew so much attention to the launch and all of the superstars, that everyone had high expectations. They should just focus on better ways to draw in the consumers.

He made a mistake by thinking that people would just flock to the service just because he has the biggest names in music backing him up. If it fails, he’ll be ridiculed forever. He’ll be laughed at, especially by his competitors.

Not being shady, but it’s a compilation album, to me, those albums are to celebrate your career and past work. I would had loved if #1 to infinity was about her career from start to finish (or now, and that would had been great to show that’s it’s not over, she’s still here). I think the song with the same title should had been about her growth as an artist, a person and a mother. Like if it had of been a Beyonce’s Blue or AKeys at Least I Got To Love ya. Furthermore, I would like if she had of gave at least 3 new songs, those songs could had became hits and push the album. For example, Pink’s Greatest Hits had 3 or 4 unreleased new music, those songs became hits and pushed the album. So her new songs on her greatest hits became hits, making the album full of hits. The concept of Tidal is great, Jay Z just needs a brand manager to convince the public of its value. The competition in this market is fierce and so Jay Z has a mountain to climb.
