‘Cheek to Cheek’ collaborators Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga left fans hands-to-cheek after her stunning live performance last night in San Francisco.
Taking to the Concord Pavilion, the diva – also hard at work on ‘American Horror Story’ and the follow-up to 2013’s ‘ArtPop’ – took to stage for a rousing performance of the tune ‘Bang Bang’ (found aboard her joint effort with jazz legend Bennett).
But, as fans last night can attest, the real bang came when the songstress dropped the mic to show off her oft-praised vocal chops.

She’s always been a great singer. The problem is that she makes terrible music that doesn’t take advantage of her gifts as a vocalist/pianist. Born This Way and Artpop were albums that were exclusively pandering to the gay community.
I agree, but she chooses to do that, because she WANTS to appeal to the gays. We’re basically her core audience. BUT she’s also smart because she realizes that to get on the radio and make people care, you need a catchy beat and cute lyrics. Then on the flip side, she ALWAYS serves acapella or just piano and her vocals during interviews and radio meet-ups to show that she’s not just a gimmick. She knows exactly what she’s doing

I didn’t know she had it in her! Lately, Gaga’s been very impressive! Her career is a bit strange imo. I see her as an artist with an abundance of talent that unfortunately made a big splash without showcasing it! I felt like she was this pretentious pop star trying to cook up this Madonna/Spice Girls/Bowie persona, while trying ever so desperately to live up to this hype created around her “star”. “The Fame” was atrocious! I only found her compelling during the “Fame Monster” era as this “Lady Gaga” person she invented. Now that I see glimpses of who she really is (Stephanie), she appeals more to me. When Gaga’s raw she’s way more fascinating. Vocally she’s more Janis Joplin/Melissa Etheridge than Madonna! ‘ArtPop’ wasn’t as bad as people make it out to be, but if Gaga takes a less contrived approach with the next album she just may reinvent herself… This time in an much more authentic/organic way.

Yes. This is the largest venue on the tour (almost all of the other dates are casino theaters, kii) while Lana is playing multiple venues that are much larger. No wonder Fad stand remain mad at the best-selling alternative female artist.

Maybe I’m watching a different video but that wasn’t singing, that’s just shouting. There is a way to project your voice and anyone with a trained ear will tell you that’s now how its done. Gaga has been doing that alot lately, I’m surprised she hasn’t damaged her voice yet. I get that she’s trying to win the public back over by showing them she has talent but straining outside of her range is going to hurt her in the long run.
Finally someone with some common sense! Anyone who has a musical ear and understands classical vocal training knows that she is singing from her throat and not her diaphragm. Of course the audience will lap it up because they are not musical experts (LOL I mean afterall they are at a Lady Gaga concert aren’t they?), but that was not good!
