Rihanna and Ciara have made impressive gains in the United Kingdom this week, seeing their respective new videos nab impressive spins on the nation’s music TV channels.

Full story below..

After signing with the British PR agency Purple PR Ciara has seen her stock in the nation rise, looking on as the video for her latest single ‘I Bet’ is thrown into heavy rotation on channels dedicated to airing music videos.

The video’s spins have seen the single claim the #21 spot on iTunes UK before she hits the country to perform at this year’s Wireless Festival.

Elsewhere, ‘FourFiveSeconds’ singer Rihanna sees the video for her new single ‘American Oxygen’ rock and roll all over British television.

Though none of her new album’s singles have taken off in the market, ‘Oxygen’ shows promise after rising 12 spots on the UK TV Airplay chart to sit at #29.

You better cling to the UK gurl coz the Americans are done with you. Use the Barbados trash then toss her aside .

Doesn’t seem like these ladies been in the game 10 years, I never would have thought riri would become as big as she did looking back on Pon de Replay

Anyways Im not that big on ciara but Dance Like We’re Making Love deserves to be in Hot 100 top ten or top 20 at least, if Rihanna sung it first it definitely would of been a smash ijs I hope that song doesn’t flop would be a shame

    • Ummm… May 8, 2015

Maybe. I like the song too… Rihanna can’t dance though so it probably wouldn’t have made as much sense, especially when it came time to make the video.

      • TheElusiveLamb May 8, 2015

Well most of Riri’s discography is along the lines of Pop, Edm, Urban, or uptempo. She makes a lot of Dance music, but never really dances in the video. Besides Where Have You Been (one of my favs), Umbrella, and that video that she did on the second album, I can’t think of Rihanna videos that have dance breaks or etc in them.

      • TheElusiveLamb May 8, 2015

Good for them. Ciara needs to release a video for Dance Like We’re Making Love and Riri still needs to release a video for BBHMM.

Maybe she should have named the song british oxygen, seems like américans dont wanna breath that oxygen lol

  12. NoHateNoShade May 8, 2015

Get em Ci Ci.. Gone ahead and get ‘I Bet’ to GOLD. I don’t think she’s done. Everyone knows if your single isn’t high on the HOT 100 you’re not gonna have a good first week, at least the single is still moving. Congrats squad I see great things for her this era.

Hey Sam, since you are from UK, can you tell me on which channels I Bet airs, as i have tons of uk music channels that actually play music and i have yet to see the video on them.
However it makes perfect sense, since itunes position for the single has been extremely surprising and fans do not why .
    Thanks

good for ciara!?! i dunno her usual numbers. not really bad for rihanna either. why would American Oxygen sell in the UK tho. if that makes any patriodumb sense. wasn’t it supposed to gain the “home base” audience us charts. did that? i dunno if she’s good for the pat act. actually not. she a visa. cold? lol. *shrugs*

I have just been to a post about Kanye leaving Rock Nation and i got to admit, blood was shed in that post, all these fan-bases shreded Rihanna and few of her brave fans who had the guts to show up in that post…Poor LB tried to clean the mess but he schooled and dragged all the way to the pits of hell with no mercy…Sad time to be a navy!

    • Blue Ivy Rodriguez May 8, 2015

Don’t worry about Rihanna, she’s gonna do a surprise release and her videos are already finished. She’s not taking the beyonce route with not releasing any singles before hand. I think the momentum of the surprise will bring everything back to life so chill

  19. You wanna love it right bettor then my funky money May 9, 2015

    Great for them
