Usher performed the U.S. national anthem to celebrate Game Four of the 2015 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The singer is part owner of the latter and delivered the number as he continues to build bops for his forthcoming studio album and after he signed up to back Jay Z’s TIDAL streaming service.

Not as good as beyonce’s rendition, with beyonce around usher is useless.

    • Cough Cough June 13, 2015

^^^this has zero to do with Beyoncé, you’re retarded.. Anyway, Usher was super boring , I was unimpressed

      • ktm June 13, 2015

        Beyoncé = Playback!!!
Usher did a great job. TGJ is confirmed to be a den of Usher’s Haterz

    • JOHNVIDAL June 13, 2015

Beyonce is far from the best who has performed it so your comment is useless indeed. Usher did it live btw.

      • Legend B June 13, 2015

        She did also

  2. B2B June 13, 2015

One word: SAFE; he so s*** tho.

  3. E Young June 13, 2015

Usher is one of the best male vocalist in the industry, he definitely took the safe route. He should of show people why he was chosen.

Off Topic Top 5 Best Male Vocalist:
    1. R Kelly
    2.Usher
    3.John Legend
    4. Miguel
    5. Justin Timberlake

    • Kayla C June 13, 2015

I sort of agree with your top 5, present day vocals I would rank as
      1. John Legend
      2. Usher
      3. Bruno Mars
      4. Justin Timberlake
      5. R. Kelly
      6. Miguel

Maybe best male vocals for mainstream, but none of your top 5 compare to the top male vocalist in the industry outside of the Pop/R&B realm! There are way too many YouTube male singers,Gospel,Jazz,Blues or even independent male artist that make them sound like crap! I need for some of you to expand your horizons when it comes to vocals!Pop/R&B doesn’t even scratch the surface!

      • E Young June 14, 2015

I agree with you, I was referring to mainstream music, but I know there are singers dead and alive that who can outshine them. In my opinion, nobody is f****** with R-Kelly.

    • TheElusiveLamb June 13, 2015

You can NOT have a best male vocalist list without the King Luther Vandross (RIP).

      • Kayla C June 13, 2015

Note that I said PRESENT day, and clearly we are talking about mainstream, stop trying to create an argument.

      • TheElusiveLamb June 13, 2015

I’m not trying to argue. I’m saying period.

    • xoxo June 13, 2015

LOL Was with you until you added Justin.

    • danyboo June 13, 2015

R Kelly prolly has the best catalog but he can’t sing better than usher
Its people out like Joe, Tyrese, Ginuwine, etc. That can really blow but r Kellydo have better songs than all of them

  4. Barb-wire June 13, 2015

King Usher!!! When will the wannabe’s?

  5. JOHNVIDAL June 13, 2015

    He did good.
Nobody like Whitney though. That´s legendary slayage. I wonder how Barbra Streisand would have done if she had performed it at her vocal prime (the 60s). She was out of this world too.

    • TheElusiveLamb June 13, 2015

I was just watching her on YouTube. Definitely an amazing vocalist. I too would love to have heard it.

      • JOHNVIDAL June 13, 2015

But be sure you check her vocals from the 60s. She was great after that too obviously. But 60s is pretty much unbelievable: check videos or performances of “My Man” and “People”.

Usher’s aging process has come to a halt. He looks so s***. I love him.

    • coolness June 13, 2015

Lol, I saw a lot of people saying that online when this performance aired on TV. It’s like he’s looked the same for the past 15 years. He still sounds good too.

  7. S****** Blonde June 13, 2015

    Lol.

  8. Mark111 June 13, 2015

I liked it. Too many try to kill this song by doing too much, chopping it up and whatever Jammie Foxx called himself doing. Just go out and sing it. It’s a hard song to sing simply because it was never supposed to be a song at all. And the ones you think are great aren’t LIVE.

  9. Keri Qween June 13, 2015

    King raymond

  10. Gee June 13, 2015

In most cases the National Anthem is pre recorded for time purposes and sometimes play back can be an issue. Now onto Usher’s rendition was very safe and at times he dragged it out but vocally he held his own.

  11. Jon June 13, 2015

You trippin’ if you think John Legend could ever outsing Ush’! I like John but no. Been a fan since Usher’s first album. Vocally I know his growth.

  12. cocobutta June 14, 2015

Nice and slow. Oh and I mean his u.s national anthen rendition.

Smooth though but he had more in him. Main thing he respected the Anthem unlike Jamie.

  13. JOHNVIDAL June 14, 2015

Where are Usher, Gwen Stefani and Fergie´s albums btw? 🙂
I mean it´s hilarious seeing people bash real legends like Mariah or Madonna who have achieved everything an artist can achieve when they still release their albums more on time and more successfully than these other younger people.

  14. Jon June 14, 2015

Usher has versatility in his voice that John Legend, Justin Timberlake or R Kelly just hasn’t really matched up to this day.

    • ktm June 14, 2015

      100 point for You!!!

  15. You wanna love it right bettor like you do then my funky money June 15, 2015
