I will NEVER forgive Alicia and Beyoncé – well more so the former because it was her song – for flaking out on releasing the video. The song was mediocre but the video would’ve been one for the history books. They were serving in the behind the scenes clips! That explanation Alicia gave in 2012 talking about deciding to leave it alone because it didn’t work out was pure shite!
I know right!!! The song was a disappointment, but the carnival/favela themed video looked incredible and I hear Alicia actually learnt some choreography for the video too LOL! – that would have been a sight to see!
I like that Alicia’s sound is evolving. Her recent material sounds different from her early work but its still clearly Alicia Keys. I like this new sound going on for her, this song can be an anthem akin to Fight Song.
The production was well done
She is the most overrated chick in r&b. Her voice is average at best. I swear I saw Whitney sit up in her coffin when Alicia screamed her version of singing at that funeral.
