The performance was okay, beside her slipping and sliding all over the place. Wrong shoe choice girl…. i have to be honest. But for the first time performing this song live, Vocals and choreo wasnt bad at all.
I mean what else do these pressed asses expect her to do. She did pretty good besides the fact that she could have had two more back up dancers. But that’s just my opinion. She was on-key and didn’t stutter her words unlike a few artists I know of that can’t sing and dance at the same time. What’s funny is that it makes me chuckle when people come at Ciara 24/7 like they make it their priority to tear her down. If you’re not checking for her why are you on here? First, let me start off by saying that I’m a fan of Ciara and have been since her debut 11 years ago. Now this performance was lacklustre af! Like, Ciara girl, what’s with this incessant campaign of trying to prove that you can be a live vocalist – especially whilst dancing? Not saying she should’ve have ignored training her voice (she has shown some improvement in that area) but she has to understand what audiences want from her – dancing! Chris Brown, her male counterpart and Janet, her idol, understood this which is why the latter would give you a cute three to four minutes on a stool singing her ballads but then she’s right up on her feet again with her backtrack of pre recorded vocals on while going pound for pound with energetic and complex choreography. Tbh, I have not been impressed with Ci’s music video choreography since ‘Gimme Dat’ and it’s starting to reflect in her live performances. Her dancing (and pitch) was all over the place here and she even nearly fell after that turn. C’mon Ci!
