The reality of Danity Kane continues to unravel and it’s laced with all sorts of drama.
This week ex members Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex (who now go by the name Dumblonde), took aim at their former comrade Dawn Richard in an explosive interview on The Breakfast Club.
The Dance duo – whose new EP is due on September 25th – sunk their claws into Richard, spilling on their various clashes with her, including “the” punch that disbanded DK3 and her alleged rift with D. Woods.
Naturally, it was only a matter of time before Richard clapped back.

Dawn is classier than them. Even though she didn’t have to respond, she told nothing but the truth. She was DK and they will deal. She’s on her THIRD criticslly- acclaimed album while they have yet to release a BODY of work as good as her. She’s unbothered.

Sorry, but while I like Dawn the most musically and always felt she waz the star of DK, I’ve always found her 2 b extremely shady and a liar. She likes to kill and clean the blood from her hands, but always leaves spots on the carpet. Every 1 can’t b a liar. The only thing Dawn specifically addressed was the car issue and she said Aubrey was telling the truth. But, everything was a lie?? Bish what?? I truly do believe you can fuch with someone and not “connect” with them. If they had a meeting of the minds, like in business, or other common interests, then they could fuch with each other in that way. The “connect” is lost on the vibe/energy of the two people coming together. Everybody you’re cool with at work (for the purpose of achieving work goals and getting paid) isn’t everybody you’d call to hang out with after work/on days off. There’s a reason for that, and it don’t have to be ~hate.
Every astrological sign has another sign that they don’t smoothly get along with in different areas. Some signs are better (or worse) for us at work, home, school, family, friends & lovers. The very astrological sign that’s like a beautiful dream for you as a friend, may be your worse nightmare as your lover. It don’t mean they ain’t ish, just means ya’ll not connecting on that level of relationship. Same for school/education and work/business, etc.
At the end of the day tho, I think Dawn and D. are cool.
Aubrey said that Dawn’s last name is pronounced the normal way…not the way she wants everyone to say it…that let me know that Miss Aubrey is pressed like church clothes…like, that should be the least of your concerns…chile, all I know is Dawn clocked her so damn hard…she got her shook, calling the po po lol 🙂

You know how to tell what’s a lie and what’s the truth? Lies don’t connect, there’s holes and they’re always “I won’t/can’t get into details”, while the truth is “Here’s what happen, this caused this and resulted into that” and that’s how I can tell that Aubrey was telling the truth and Dawn is telling lies. When Dawn was on there, it was choppy, because when you lie, you’re making it up as you go. This is because she is a good liar. Lying is what she practices regularly. Aundrea blew her cover when she leaked their fake scripted show that never made it to TV. She got caught telling lies on the Marriage boot camp. And she is so bold face with it. There’s were rumors she was sleeping with Diddy before Dawn auditioned for MTB. Thats another lie she made up on the breakfast club.

Do you know what it means to be spot on? Aubrey was not spot on when she said Dawn leaked that she was sleeping with Diddy because this was a rumor before Dawn was on MTB. So Aubrey lied! regardless of whether the Aubrey/Diddy rumour was there before Dawn, she was still on the message board perpetuating it and that’s the point. Aubrey did mention that her mother is a lawyer so i bet she is already aware of the consequences of slander which is another reason why i don’t think se is lying. If Dawn doesn’t take legal action to handle these so-called “lies” i think it will be pretty clear that Aubrey is telling the truth.
Aubrey kept flipping the script whenever the breakfast club asked her a question that threatened her agenda. When asked about the secret studio sessions with her and Shannon, she flipped the script on dawn from 6 yrs ago. When asked why she went back knowing what dawn did she flipped the script and started talking about diddy leaving them broke. She came out looking clean because she dodged all the bullets. Aubrey has manipulated every girl in her group until she no longer needed them. SHE was the one that took shots at dwoods TWICE during dk4&3. the second time may have been a mistake, but the first time was deliberate. They ALL played their part in this. Especially dawn and aubrey, but Aubrey is just better at covering her tracks.
Aubrey is fighting a losing battle to take down Dawn. She’s making great music so I don’t care, well unless she is a r***** (see Bill Cosby).

I also followed Dawn once upon on IG and she would always delete comments when people would call her out about photoshopping her photos. She’s incredibly insecure and I believe Aubrey is just as insecure in her looks as well. They are each other and don’t even realize it.
She had the nerve to say that she didn’t get any plastic surgery done and that it was just some camera tricks. I almost died reading that. But yeah Dawn can be a little extra.

Drea is the only one I have consistently liked from the beginning to end. I feel like she has been shortchanged the most out of this, because she is the only one who sings because she loves it (I would have mentioned Dawn too, but I can’t forget about the time she joined Dirty Money for coinz). I just hope she is happy in whatever she pursues in her life, because she is a genuine person.

Do you recall the main drama that broke them up was that they found out Dawn was doing solo records. It just now hit me on why the others were booted, but Dawn stayed. Because Dawn signed a new or even a solo deal with Diddy. I always wondered why he kept her and it wasn’t for no dirty money. That was cause he couldn’t do anything with her. So even back then, the main reason for the break up then and now was because of Dawn.
Originally only d and Aubrey were let go. They were going to continue danity kane as a trio but Shannon said she wouldn’t do it unless all the girls were there so she quit the group.
That left dawn and aundrea who stuck around until diddy fired aundrea because he said he couldn’t trust her after she said she wanted to quit the group because aubrey was doing Broadway and was missing shows,rehearsals and club dates.
That’s how dawn stayed. Three got fired one quit and diddy also kept her because she owned the name danity Kane and put her in DM
If you watch Dawn’s videos and listen to her music, her work and her grind make it so clear that she wants to be the solo star she could never be in Dk and dirty money. Honestly, i think getting back with the group was to put some extra coins in her pocket to continue to fund her independent career.
Plus Dawn came up with the name and I heard owned the right to it. Hint the reason Diddy kept her so the girls couldn’t go else where with the name. Hint the reason they could”comeback”, but leave out D woods, hint the reason the blondes couldn’t go on with the DL name because Dawn owns it. It’s making so much sense now.

DK never formed a real bond. I don’t care who pretends to like who, for whatever reason at whatever time, those girls aren’t genuine friends. DC3 was the last group to form a genuine bond. PCD ended messy, but they still managed to handle their business as classy women. 5th Harmony is going to end badly too, just wait for it.

Day26 hired outside management on their own,I believe it was Willie in the group who actually brought Screwface in to manage the group and that shady as mf was doin grimy as s***. Day26 suppose to be getting back together for another album but they all are doin solo projects right now and Willie is on love&hip-hop Hollywood ????lol
Mad as hell that Queen Janet just cancelled her iHeartRadio Festival show because of an ear problem. This show would’ve been so beneficial for reintroducing her to the general public and generating some more publicity for the album. Oh, well! At least she’s slaying her tour every night! Oh, and kii at Janet’s Japan shows being at a stadium with a 36,000+ capacity. What will the haters say now? Watch her work and take notes!
I agree. Although I’m seeing her on the 10th in vegas so not too bad. Im dying with anticipation. Plus I was gonna try to avoid watching her iheart performance anyways so I can take in the full experience later:) I’m a little curious about the Japan dates now that she can’t fly. Hope it all works out for the queen though.
That’s great! I’m seeing her when she comes to Atlanta for the Phillips Arena date and Philadelphia for the Energy Console date. It would be cool to see her in Vegas too. But I was really upset with this show because a lot of old artists like Duran Duran and The Killers performed. Even the crowd went crazy for Lil Wayne’s explicit set.
I just hope that she doesn’t cancel the Japan dates. There her first stadium dates in several years and I genuinely want to see yet slay a stadium stage like on the “All for You” tour and prove the haters wrong in effort to show them she still has plenty of power in the music industry. Oh, well! I guess time will tell.
All members of girl groups GENUINELY LOVE each other….until they become famous. Something about fame does that to people in general, but for whatever reason girl bandmates take it to another level. From the Supremes to TLC to En Vogue to DC. The biggest girl groups ever have fallen to the ish. Sad.
Dawn makes amazing music and was definitely the most talented DK member, having said that the b**** is a bully. You don’t even have to be super smart to realize that. Just check her responses since the beginning of the beefs (way before this interview). And I doubt Aubrey would be lying about that knowing D. woods could just say it was a lie if it truly was.
