Nicole Scherzinger Denies Being Dropped…But Reveals She’s On New Label

Fierce feline Nicole Scherzinger rocked the Pop sphere as part of the Pussycat Dolls, yet her solo roars haven’t had much volume.

Indeed, despite a slew of singles since 2007, she’s yet to release an album in the US. And, though achieving a degree of success with her European LP ‘Killer Love’ in 2011, follow-up ‘Big Fat Lie’ was a truthful chart tragedy.

The poor performance of the latter is said to have caused Scherzinger to be culled from the roster at RCA UK, which in turn presented a problem for her Stateside deal with fellow Sony label Epic Records.

Now, after a notable silence, the 37-year-old is hitting back at claims she was “dropped,” yet confirms that she has a new label. Hmm.

Full story below…

Speaking with the Huffington Post, the ‘Poison’ singer said:

“I’ve got a new deal coming out. It was rumoured all this year that I was dropped and I actually wasn’t dropped.

I was signing a new deal, with another label. We’re still working on finalising the contract, which I am unable to speak too much about.

I’m really excited about this project and new music that I’m putting together, and which will be released next year.”

Girl.

In any case, for some odd reason, we can’t help but root for Nicole. She’s talented, driven (clearly), and simply the victim of banally bad material.

Do we envisage her being as big as a Beyonce at this point? No. But, achieving success with something? Hopefully.

Your thoughts?

I think Right Now was her best charting single in the U.S.

      lol. u mean ‘right there’?
kii at you not even knowing the name of her best charting single.

She needs a great A&R person. She can’t hear a hit to save her life. “Steam” and “Pretty” were potential smashes that never came out.

Say what u want bout her sales but no one can say she got no talent & so on cuz she got everything just luck not on her side…it’s quite sad situation though when someone like Selena Gomez is up there with no talent but Nicole can sang and dance like hell not up there…

    • Selenator *Same Old Love* is coming September 9, 2015

The reason Selena is where she is and Nicole isn’t is because Selena records good music. Talent is useless if wasted on trash music.

      • King Bey September 9, 2015

u r the complete trash here though…i did not mention anythin bout selena choice of music..what i mean is she cant sing or dance to save her life…i mention bout talent not taste in music u dumbass…get some glasses…how dare u come up here to defend selena with her limited talent…

She’s like Ciara…very ambitious girls who nobody cares about. They’re like the little engines that could never.

What I wont ever understand is why many of these females accept most of the productions they recieve.

Dont they realize that they can do much much much better than that?

Thats why her albums/singles are failing, because they arent as good as other artists material. So…. its time for a real change (musically, not about labels changes, that never works)

she has the worst luck as a solo artist. the songs she’s released are pretty subpar. idk if she’ll eventually find success solo, tbh…

Nicole can sing and is talented in other areas, she just shines better in a group. None of her solo music is as good as the two albums PCD put out and that’s the problem.Plus it seems like she’s working with producers who don’t really believe in her, might be why both of her albums sound like fillers and throwaways. My own personal theory is that Nicole treated those girls in PCD like crap, thought she was bigger than the group, and karma has been getting her together ever since. I remember how she tried to release as album in 2006 and the group only had one album.Maybe she should just go to broadway! These labels need to invest in new talent, not talent that’s proven on so many occasions that the public just isn’t interested anymore.

Her Europe only album Killer Love actually had some decent tracks. She should have also released the “personal” album she teased in Behind the Music rather than the generic Big Fat Lie.

I believe in Nicole but its getting pretty late in her life to be the solo success that she wants for herself. I think she should go back to PCD if they will have her and ride that out as long as possible. Or get back into acting whether it be Broadway, television, or movies

I dont understand why the hell she cant be successful without that clinging ass entourage of mute dancers, aside from the bad single releases. She did 95% of the vocals in PCD…she WAS the group and yet only the U.K. pays her attention. I dont get it…and somehow the U.S. liked “Right There”, but not “Poison”. WTF? Anyway, I love “Try With Me”, the music video is beautiful, and i often revisit her X factor performance of the song. It’s amazing how she doesnt need playback too when singing live.

Ok I don’t mean to be shady but her and ciara should form a girl group. They would need just one more girl that can dance on their level. THEY. WOULD. KILL.
