Ariana Grande Dishes On New Single ‘Focus’…And It’s Deeper Than You May Think

20 days remain until Ariana Grande reveals her fiercely anticipated new single ‘Focus.’

The track is the first taste the masses will have of the pint-sized powerhouse’s third studio album, ‘Moonlight.’

Whetting appetites the more, the songbird is shining light on the inspiration behind the song. And, per her description, it has a deeper meaning that perhaps anticipated.

See what we mean below…

The explanation surfaced in a newly released promo video. Check it out…

The first line of ‘Focus’ is “I know what I came to do, and that ain’t gonna change.” What I came to do in this world is not only to entertain, but to love. To share. To listen. To improve. To learn. To share music. To share experience. To share feelings. To make people happy and empowered. To make people feel like they’re not alone. Without using my voice to do those things, I will feel empty.

When I say focus on me, I’m not asking to be the center of attention. I’m not asking you to focus on my clothes, or my face, or my body, or my singing voice. When I say focus on me, I literally mean focus on ME: on what I’m all about, on what I believe in.

The more we focus on each other as people- and not what we look like, and what we’re wearing, our gender, our hairstyle, our sexuality, the color of our skin. But focus on each other on a soul level, the more we realize how much we have in common. The more we listen to each other. The more one we become.

Well come through Ms. Grande. Here’s hoping ‘Focus’ delivers when it struts onto airwaves on October 30th.

Does each song starts with, “Red rose, white ceilings”?

“Me & My Girls” is my favorite song from the album. I’m so glad she put on for yet fellow Hispanic girls in that song. Also, I must say that I was quite impressed with the opening, title track, “Revival”. It was quirky, meaningful, and spiritual. She’s truly developed into a completely different artist now. Oh, and she’s expected to sell 155,000+ copies the first week, easily beating Demi, so that’s good for her.

Selena Del Rey’s album is boring. It’s sounds contrived.

I’m not here for her world peace speech. Ariana, we don’t care about you wear or do your make up. We do care about that wretched ponytail. Yesssss! that is a focus.

She had to come deep after that pastry scandal. Great way to salvage that image

  5. Taylor Tart October 10, 2015

BAD MANAGEMENT, they release a single once a month instead of promoting ONE strong single; there is nothing really special about this BAD ATTITUDE wannabe.

I’ll pass on her and her squeaky voice

Ariana’s best songs are usually the songs that aren’t her singles. She has pipes but sometimes she wastes them on those basic singles. Her singles are usually generic, poppy, annoying radio-made, overproduced songs and I hate them, but her other songs are pretty good so, I look forward to her album.

  12. mr.m October 10, 2015

    She has pipes for sure
    BUT NO EMOTIONS. NO SOUL.
I never been connected with her ..
    She’s so basic tbh

  13. Dev October 10, 2015

I’m not going to say she cannot sing, but what i will say is she’s overrated

DIES if Game misses #1 spot to
    ,
    SELENA VS. THE GAME
It’s not quite a race yet, but after one day of sales. eOne’s The Game looks like it has the potential to give Interscope’s Selena Gomez a little competition for #1 next week. Of course, we’ll have a better picture on Monday when we’ll also be looking at new releases from Toby Keith (Show Dog), R. City (Kemosabe/RCA), Mayday Parade (Fearless), City and Colour (Dine Alone) and Kane Brown (Kane Brown Music).

Selena Gomez (Interscope) 75-85k album, 85-95k SPS
    The Game (eOne) 60-70k, 75-85k

      • LB October 10, 2015

Screaming, Unbreakable is amazing though. A great follow-up to The Velvet Rope

“The track is the first taste the masses..”
    .
“Whetting appetites the more, the songbird is shining light on…”
    .
Sam I caught that, see THIS is clever jabs. You try too hard with the Rihanna’s post.

    • LB October 10, 2015

Bish, I hope you’ve remortgaged the house for ANTI

      • King Mark111 /.\ October 10, 2015

House, car, extention of the student loan, asked for my 401K returns, an advanced of 2016 income tax, got Molly and FourFive Head working extra hours on the corner and broke my piggy bank. I’m ready! ????
