Chris Brown Reveals ‘Royalty’ Release Date

R&B star Chris Brown is readying new album ‘Royalty’ for release sooner than some might think.

Named after his adorable daughter, the set has thus far spawned singles ‘Liquor’ and ‘Zero.’

Find out when the full body of work will land in stores after the jump…

HOT 97‘s Nessa confirmed that C. Breezy informed her that the LP will officially be unleashed on November 27th – this year’s Black Friday.

With shopper’s annually out in full force at said time, it’s an incredibly smart play from the singer, who has released two projects over the last year (2014’s ‘X’ and this spring’s ‘Fan of a Fan’ with Tyga).

Listen to the announcement below…

Granted the modern climate almost requires that artists release albums simply as a means to tour, we hope Chris commits to the entirety of the project and stretches it out.

He’s immensely talented, as such it would be awesome to see a full-bodied “era” rather than having his attention diverted all over the place –  as has been on previous album cycles.

He spits out so much music at once it’s overwhelming. He doesn’t have one classic album under his belt. They’re all very forgettable….

“doesn’t have one classic album under his belt” Not trying to be a smart ass or something, but how much does Monica have?

      • Monica Stan October 13, 2015

Ummm I caught the shade but if you must know her debut self titled album, after the storm and still standing are rnb classics. Don’t forget they all churned out #1s 😉

      • JessieSlay October 13, 2015

She doesn’t have any!!! Her singles are always the best songs on her albums, no shade no T.

Here’s his issue ..,,his drug induced team breezy have the attention spans of a six year old.

X was an excellent CD, he could have released drunk texting or the song with brandy but as usual HE RELEASED THE WORK AND moved onto the next project.

      Market the project first

    • Kayla C October 13, 2015

Are you an serious?! His first 2 albums are definitely classics, especially the first!

      • Faf October 13, 2015

        They’re good but not classics

        That was kid music

        A classic transcends age

      • JuJu October 14, 2015

Monica means Chris Doesn’t make Jazz music and old Soul, it’s her definition of classic, she must be approximately 98 years old so 2015 Music makes no sense to Gran Monica. She can’t get with the new times.

    Flop

    • Lil Kim thee ONLY QB October 13, 2015

Oh what a day it is to be a Lil Kim fan. She hyped up that Diddy single like a mf. Thought we was getting a treat this time but she’s back to basics. *sigh*

  3. Cough Cough October 13, 2015

Real fans of music aren’t concerned with “eras” it’s just the music to them. Era this, era that.,, who gives a fffffffuck!? Is the music great!? That’s my concern.

    King of over saturation.

  5. JessieSlay October 13, 2015

Him and Nicki really need to chill. They have 2 billion singles And features on the radio currently. They are gonna burn out.

    • Ciah’s Turtle October 14, 2015

Tha gurls know how to get a check.

  6. StrawberryMuffin24 October 13, 2015

I love Chris can’t wait for his album!

  7. Bam Bam October 13, 2015

I think he’s over doing it. Hes not giving people time enough to miss him. He has like 10 different songs on the radio. I feel like he needs to give people time to build up anticapation because it seems like he’s traded in quality for quantity. All the songs sound the same.

  8. Theman October 13, 2015

Nah if the album as a whole is awesome, then, those fans will want a full era. You don’t make an album just to toss it out there & then skip over it. He has way too much music out. It’s almost as though all of his singles, from his last few albums, blend in altogether. A new sound would be awesome.

  9. christinastherealtalent October 13, 2015

I mean, Rihanna and Ariana turned out music every year and you were all over them like stank on sh*t so STFU!!!

  10. Classic Girl October 13, 2015

A Rita Ora And Breezy Tour would be so Awesome

    • Londontru October 14, 2015

Rita is that u ??? Desperate ho

  11. Coolness October 13, 2015

I’ve said it ad nauseum how much I feel like he oversaturates his market with too much music. He appeared on so many features this year. with majority of them being forgettable in my opinion. Then again, the industry is so different compared to when he debuted in 2005. Hoping he actually sticks to this date and that ‘Royalty’ is more cohesive with more depth than his previous albums (X was good but had a lot of filler). I agree with the notion that he doesn’t really have a standout album despite having hit singles and Team Breezy constantly touting him as ‘the Michael Jackson of his generation.’ Good luck to him.

    • Christian October 14, 2015

I agree. And he picked bad singles with X. The song with Trigg a should’ve been a single.

  12. DIABETES UNBOTHERED October 13, 2015

I see Royalty debuting higher than ANTI-200 K.

    • Ciah’s Turtle October 14, 2015

Lets not get carried away, I’m not even a Rih stan and I know that’s false

  13. Lover of music October 13, 2015

Yeeees…i loved X so much and i cant wait for this album.. And to the diabetic troll above me, there is still anticipation for Anti so best believe, that album will do better than Royalty.

  14. Faf October 13, 2015

I feel like x should’ve been this album there wasn’t enough time between fortune and x

The more music he releases the lower the hype bc it becomes like mixtapes

    • Faf October 13, 2015

But I do like zero and the fact it’s a dual single and video

    • coolness October 14, 2015

Yeah, but you have to remember that the only reason X got pushed back was because he kept putting out dates that actually weren’t confirmed by his label and he also got in trouble with the law several times. Tbh, I think Chris is just adapting to the microwaveable nature of the industry today. In between albums, you can hear him guesting as a featured act on several artist’s singles – it keeps him relevant in a sense.

  15. King Mark111 /.\ October 13, 2015

I know one will bring up Rihanna, hut with Rih, you knew when it was a new era. You could tell the difference by the sound and theme/style of the era with RR/Loud/TTT/Unapologetic.
    .
I can’t tell the difference from Fame, Floption and X. He won’t sell past 50K the first week. And that’s not counting Flop of a flop, the album, and all those flopped features (Body On Me).

    • ANTI (hives scared of R8) October 14, 2015

King Mark, your comment is on point.
This fool releases albums like his music is going to change the f****** game.CB is a joke and his washed up R&B tracks are repetitive. Where are his classics????

  16. J October 14, 2015

I’ve liked some of the songs he’s previewed online. I’d love a different sound for him, I guess we’ll see what happens.

  17. RihYonce October 14, 2015

I’m ready for s new album from Chris ! Idc ! I wish he would’ve took more time promoting X but oh well it’s time to move on. I definetly think after this album he should take a break, but y’all trippen saying that his music is forgettable because it’s not & Chris has always released a lot of music in one year since he came out this is nothing new
