‘Big Pimpin’ maestro Jay Z may be making big moves with his streaming service TIDAL. Moves, according to a new report, that involve its rival Spotify.

Details below…

TIDAL has struggled to find footing on solid ground since its unveiling in March and has been slapped in the face by industry insiders who foresee its demise within the next year.

Now it seems that there’s been a major plot twist in its story.

This week a report emerged  suggesting that the Roc Nation jefe is hoping to sell the company and all it offers to Spotify as part of an exit strategy before things worsen for it on a subscriptions front.

If true, the latter’s owner, Daniel Ek, would gain access to the following TIDAL has been able to build for itself and the additional armour he may need as he battles Jimmy Iovine‘s Apple for the hearts (and wallets) of music lovers.

lmao b****.. seriously? He chose artists that are relevant. Not artist that only make appearances during 20 year label anniversaries.

“…He chose artists that are relevant…”. Yeah, like Madonna’s old, irrevelent ass, the no-name dude w/ the mouse head, Usher (who hasn’t had a hit in over a decade) and, Rihanna (who’s on her way to Hasbeenland). lol Anyway, even if 100% of those ppl were relevant, how did that strategy of having filthy rich, big-name stars work out for him?

And Tidal is sinking, Roc Nation artist are flopping and Bey is still owned by Sony.

    • HailBeysus October 14, 2015

Tidal is flopping but Roc-Nation artists aren’t only 8 albums have been released under the label and that accumulates for about 18 million records sold. Not including the few mix tapes dropped. So to say roc nations artist are flopping is a lie. Do you know how many artist are on that label?? Alot and most have yet to release an album under the label. Considering its only been around since 2008 (fist album drop 09 Jay) its doing fairly well. Also to quote Mrs. Carter “The year was 2003. Now i put my heart and soul into my first album Dangerously In Love. When i played the record for the executives of Columbia Records, they told me i didn’t have one single hit! I guess they we’re right I had 5!”
How can someone who is a s**** to a record label be able to push their FIRST SOLO ALBUM when the people who run the damn label said they didn’t like it and we’re against it?
