Adele is about to make even more history – if current estimates prove true.

The soul-filled singer unleashed her ’25’ album on the masses yesterday and looks set to best a record many thought insurmountable.

Details below…

According to Billboard, the ‘Hello’ led set is on course to sell a mind-blowing total of 2.5 million copies in the US alone.

The figure, if achieved, will see the British megastar top the 2.4 million debut of NSYNC‘s 2000 opus ‘No Strings Attached’ and in the process earn the honor of becoming the largest first week US opening in Nielsen-era.

Its epic momentum saw the critically praised project power through the 900,000 sales mark Stateside…in its first day.

************

Context is of course everything, but this really is a chart thriller for the ages.

Given how some artists aren’t able to sell 900k total between multiple albums, the 2.5 million estimate really re-affirms that – at least from a sales perspective – Adele leads the pack and has, in doing do, etched her name in the history books.

What’s so warming about the preceding sentence is that the 27-year-old has done so with amazing music and a charm few can emulate.

More power to her.

Stay tuned for the latest on Adele’s game-changing release!

Group think and trend following has benefited Adele. My friend played the album for me and it sounded old and farmilia. Nothing new or exciting. Not even her vocals. But overall it is a solid effort.

I agree. She´s great but nothing memorable or anything. “21” was better btw. Hello is very underwhelming and her live performances are too (remember the oscars one when nobody stood up despite all the hype around her).

I have to say, as much as i love Adele and her music, i found 25 to be a bit dull. Don’t get me wrong it is better than most of the crap out there, but it is very similar to 21. In other words, it lacked growth and sounded very similar. I get it she is doing what made her sell 30 million records, but after a four year break you at least expect a mid tempo of some sort to make the album more fun and not BALLAD HEAVY. (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SEND MY LOVE TO UR LOVER). OVERALL I GIVE IT A 7.5 OUT OF 10. P.S, IS IT JUST ME THAT THINKS ADELE IS NOT A GOOD LIVE PERFORMER, ESPECIALLY SINCE SHE HAD HER KID, HER VOICE JUST IS NOT AS STRONG.

Even with Beyonce, once she had blue ivy, her voice tho till AMAZING AND RESONANT, does not match what she was able to do prior. I.E, (KIDS=VOCAL DECLINE…)

This is a mid tempo……. Send My Love (To Your Lover). I don’t even get into Miss Adele like that but did you even listen to the album? LMAO

Every time anything is widely successful you have cynics coming out of the woodwork talking about how it’s “overrated” or “not as good as” the artists previous work, and blah-blah-blah. All this is is resentment on the parts of the naysayer, who is trying in vein to bring the mood down because they’re feeling dominated and are probably resentful that something that they prefer isn’t being showered with the same adoration. I’m not even an Adele fan. Haven’t bought any of her music, and have no plans to buy this new album either…but I can still see jealously and envy. You wish one of your favorites were getting half the attention she is…or are scared that her success is going to take something away from them.

My comment has nothing to do with Jealousy..I really do like her as an artist, she is an exceptional songwriter and a soulful one too. But i’m just keeping it real… As someone who has listened to all her albums extensively, i have the right to give an honest opinion. S o calm down, no one is hating here. P(.S 19 IS MY FAV ALBUM BY HER, WILE FIRST LOVE IS MY FAVE SONG FROM HER..)

But I thought bayonce was the king, the greatest, better vocalist than Mariah, better dancer than Janet, the whole package, why can’t the people see that and buy her albums, is it all marketing?, she pushed her brand as hard as she could, why can’t she be half as good.

You are an example of why abortion should remain legal (and be free.) If your mother had had any sense or money, she would have gotten a professional to coat hanger your dumbass after she bent over for that bum instead of giving birth to the dumpster that is you.
