Justin Bieber visited ‘The Tonight Show’ this week and had ample reason to smile.
The pin-up’s new album ‘Purpose’ is on-course for a definitive chart win over rival act One Direction and by a (relative) landslide.
Led by ‘What Do You Mean?,’ the comeback project is set to sell 470k-490k Stateside (to 1D’s 420k) – which, if achieved, will mark the largest first-week debut this year.[Editor’s note: Of course, until the Adele avalanche hits next week].
Not resting his laurels, Bieber took to the stage on the Jimmy Fallon hosted show to perform current single ‘Sorry’ – which has, thus far, peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Call it a comeback.!

Granted we struggle to see what the hype and hoopla is about, we also feel Justin makes catchy enough music that doesn’t offend in its banality. So, congrats…we guess.

I love how he has to do endless promo and have every B- Lister in Hollywood on payroll to support his album yet 1D with barely any promo and a midst of controversy still manages to almost outsell him. Hell they ARE outselling him in the UK.

How on God’s green Earth did he manage to even make a comeback? Like his songs sound recycled as hell same melody different lyrics but same vibe. His voice isnt anything to be amazed by, i know plenty of young black, white, and hispanic kids/teens who outsing him on stage and on his songs. He also stole Beyonce’s visual idea and copied the hell outta Chris Brown dance/ voice style. Smh if it wasn’t for social media his career would’ve been ended back in 2013. But then again when I look at the industry of today you can’t be too surprised by s*** like this.

Now look at him being expected to sell at least 500,000 copies (plus streaming and downloaded tracks) for his new album. Smh, he’s mediocracy at its most annoying. Serving Ashanti’s debut album teas I see. That album should at least be 4x platinum by now. Anyway, I do like “Sorry”, but it just annoys me how quickly the general public gave him another chance. Now, please believe if it was a black artist that did everything he did, his career would’ve been over a long time ago. The “Point of No Return” would’ve definitely been reached. Anyway, since he’s so popular again, I’m sure he’ll be able to fill stadiums this time around on his new tour. I hope his prerecorded vocals are flawless.
