By the look of things, Rihanna is launching everything but her new album.
Indeed, at this junction, the LP’s title ‘ANTI’ seems to stand for anti-release date.
Nonetheless, the conundrum surrounding the serially delayed project hasn’t quelled her desire to trailblaze with other ventures – the latest of which was unveiled today.
THR reports that the Bajan sensation has quietly founded a beauty and stylist agency called Fr8me with managing partner Benoit Demouy.
Operating from Los Angeles, the firm will assist artists (in the world of beauty, cosmetics, and fashion) in booking commercials, editorial shoots, ad campaigns and red-carpet gigs.
Speaking on the unique venture, 27-year-old Rih said:
“Hair, makeup and styling play an important role in creativity. I am very involved with that part of my process, so this agency was an organic thing for me to do.
We are lucky enough to have some of the best artists at Fr8me, but I also have a soft spot for finding new talent with extraordinary skills!”
Per the report, talent already on-board include the model’s longtime makeup artist Mylah Morales, Taraji P. Henson’s wardrobe stylist Jason Bolden and hairstylists Patricia Morales (Fergie) and Marcia Hamilton (Jada Pinkett Smith).
What’s more, in conjunction with Fr8me, Rihanna has started the photo agency A Dog Ate My Album Homework, which reps photographers Erik Asla and Deborah Anderson.
Explaining the venture more, Demouy said in a statement:
“Our goal is to have a stellar reputatio. The industry’s changed so much — rates have gone down, and clients just grab images off social media, trying to bypass paying artists. But we’re concerned with social media, too — we’ll take a makeup artist with 500,000 followers over someone else.”
