‘Before You Walk Out My Life’ beauty Monica has yet another treat for fans before they walk into record stores to purchase her forthcoming opus ‘Code Red’ (in stores December 18th).
Already giving fans a taste of things to come with the Lil Wayne-assisted ‘Just Right For Me’ and the album’s title track (featuring Missy Elliott), now Mo shows off her oft-envied chops with the ballad ‘I Know.’
Tuck in below to hear the stunner belt like only she can:
I LOVEEEEEE THIS!
She never fails to cater to her core market but with songs like this it is clear she could dominate a bigger and more worldwide platform but it must be her team that keeps her in a box and songs like ‘3D’ from her last album don’t get pushed to the masses.
I love this song
Girl hurry up and put this on Spotify premium
That red hair is sooooo 2004. But, I like the song. I’m thinking about buying her album.
Mariah is so 94
At least MooMoo THINKS it’s still 94. lol
@BeyRihLiyah aka OK, “And now with your new troll account Monica Brown” you tried this before in the other Monica posts, until Sam EXPOSED you. Now you’re on another sad tirade trying to get Monica dragged, honey, stop the unnecessary trolling and seek immediate mental help.
Mariah is so 1994.
Love the sentiment and arrangement.
Nice to hear Mo do a R&B ballad that has Pop crossover credentials.
Sang it beauifully.
Monica is teasing us though because the filler songs hitting vevo before the ones fans anticipating like studio versions of call my name, love just ain’t enough and ALONE IN YOUR HEART!
Really hope an official 2nd single comes with the roll out of the album or shortly afterwards.
Interviews circuir due after the code red experience tour.
Im excited regardless.
Too much vibrato on the verses. She really needs to tone that back a little bit then the song would be perfect. It reminds me of something K.Michelle would do.
I see she still refuses to get a vocal coach. The song is just ok.
Your ears are what need coaching. Monica’s tone may not be everybody’s taste but what can’t be denied is Gurl can SANG!

@DozenRoses, did I tell you to talk to me? Go away rat!
R&B is Dead… the 90s set the bar too high. Why is Rkelly & Bey the only artist making r&b sound remotely interestin? Kelly rowland sometimes also but these are it everyone else in r&b basic asf chris brown & monica are about to flop massively kii. Glad hiphop is bigger than R&B
Your mother flopped when she had you.
BTW @SAM Thanx 4 taking all them viruses & Ads off this site… smh i was coming here on my android cuz this site almost gave my laptop a v**** wtf
B1tch u look like 10 viruses in one u please protect me from a cheese burger broad.
Once u sneeze on your laptop im sure its game over for it already
Love it. Mo has a one of a kind voice. I still play Mis Thang, The Boy Is Mine, After The Storm and a small bit of Still Standing.
But you’re “straight” right? Guys who listen to and argue over pop/R&B divas and come to a blog filled with nothing but women and other gay guys. Sure. 😛 Who’s your NFL 2015 MVP prediction? Bet you don’t have one.
Does it matter if he’s straight, bi, or gay, let him live.
Something about the feeling behind the song really touched me. Heard a realness of emotion. ? Monica.
#UNBOTHERED…
#UNBOTHERED!!!
Monica has always been a soulful and great singer!!! She’s talented in her own right. I love the record!!!!!
MONICAS voice is as STAGNET as a bubble bee with the FLU. 100% BASIC like brandy mjb & Aliyah & alicia keys.
Are you from the attention seekers union?
Seem a bit too bothered to be #unbothered.
Pray changes ?
U stay reading a b****.
What exactly is a BUBBLE BEE?
This song really touched my spirt. Such a big voice from a small frame. I love it
You better sing Monica!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS ! THAT´S MY GIRL ! SING IT MONICA ! <3
BY THE WAY : I WOULD REALLY LIKE IF MONICA WOULD PUT OUT A LIVE CD KINDA LIKE N MTV UNPLUGGED OR SOMETHING THAT GIRL CAN SING !
Amazing music song
I love the song! Some people get so caught up in the normal over production of R&B records. I enjoy hearing a singer actually breathe. Hearing them actually sing songs they feel. The sweaty rump shaking songs are cute but I’m always hear for a singer over an entertainer any day.
The song starts off very strong but begins to sound a little clunky when the background elements come in. The bridge is underwhelming and the song quickly fades out leaving me feeling empty. Can I hear something with the power and feeling of “For You I Will” or “Inside”? This song just doesn’t do it.
