After a lengthy hiatus from the spotlight, Fergie made a brief return to the charts in Summer 2014 with club jam ‘L.A Love (La La).’

If whetting appetites was the goal, the Black Eyed Peas diva delivered and then some; for, the song hit #27 on the Billboard Hot 100, #3 on the UK charts, and amassed 65 million video views on VEVO. All with respectable, yet minimal push.

The take-away point? Fergie-Ferg still has an audience.

And she’s gearing up to please her public..sooner thank folk might think.

Details below…

WWD reports:

The singer was in Paris over the weekend to shoot the cover and press materials for her long-awaited second solo album, due in March. [She] posed for photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in outfits by designers including Tom Ford, Gianvito Rossi, Rosamosario and Raf Simons.

Fergie was due to film a music video in Paris on Tuesday, also with Bianco, who previously worked with Madonna on the covers for her albums “Confessions on a Dance Floor,” “MDNA” and “Rebel Heart.” The “Fergalicious” singer is scheduled to travel to London later in the week to shoot another music video.

Well come through Stacy Ann!

Having seen so many chaotic campaigns crash and burn, one has got to love an act who does away with the hype machine, gets the work done, and serves up when ready. In 2016, minimalism seems to be the route to go – a memo Ms. Fergie has taken and run with.

She clearly still has selling-power and the ability to bake bops (‘L.A Love’ still goes hard), as such we’re eager to see what she’ll be pushing through with this go round.

      • MusicFan103 January 25, 2016

However, she does RAP though from time to time. Just like Missy Elliott sings from time to time.

Wanted to apologize for my insensitive comments over the weekend. Im sorry Tyler and anyone else who felt offended by my disgusting comment about my race. Y’all were totally right the things i said were outta line and I take ownership for that. I rather not speak on race issues fr here on out.

  7. jec2 January 25, 2016

No thank you. Her new music skews more iggy azalea than anything authentic. Time to hang up your music hat….a 40 year old former meth addict talking about partying…..it’s just a no.

  8. Ronnie January 25, 2016

Yesssss come thru Fergie! 2016 is becoming a very interesting year for music releases to say the least. If this report is true I think its cool she’s doing videos in Paris and London after shouting them out in L.A.Love maybe she’ll shoot a video in NY for her song with Nicki if it still made the album.

I like Fergie, she’s worked very hard for a long time to make it. I remember when she was in the singing trio White Orchid and so it’s nice to see her succeed. But she’s now 40 years old, and if you’ve had a child I think it’s time to cover it up. I don’t need to see your ass. You can be s*** at 40 without being half naked and she’s actually a good singer, I wish she’d showcase that more. “Finally” is one of my favorite songs and she sings the hell out of it. Time to switch it up Fergie and give us those vocals.

Wow, she’s great! Can’t wait to hear her new bangers.

I think she’ll comeback onstage with her first single at The Grammys like JT.

She has 8 Grammys and the whole album is coming on March so it would make sense

  23. #JACKIE January 26, 2016

    She’s good for a throwback….

  24. JOHNVIDAL January 26, 2016

She just flopped. Like Gwen. I´ve always said it. These artists didn´t make the type of impact you need to make to stay topping charts and relasing albums without too much trouble after 20 years or more of career. They are not a Mariah Carey or Madonna and the likes.
The last Usher and Rihanna´s cases are worth a mention too.
