Nathan Sykes and Ariana Grande, two of Pop’s most powerful voices, have paired up for a rousing new collaboration.

Moments ago, the former Wanted singer uncaged the duet version of his recent UK hit ‘Over And Over Again,’ which for its US roll-out smartly adds Grande into the mix.

Together, the duo trade verses over the sparse piano-led production and soar to vocal heights that emphasise why they are at forefront of Pop’s most exciting prospects.

Take a listen to Sykes’ second single (follow-up to last year’s ‘Kiss Me Quick’) below…

Simple, yet sensational.

The pair’s vocals melt marvellously and their harmonies highlight that this isn’t phoned-in venture. Indeed, the texture and tone of their voices are especially complimentary and make for a lush listen.

With credible Pop ballads garnering praise again by way of John Legend’s ‘All of Me,’ Sam Smith, and Adele, this packs ample hit potential.

A very weak track. Those harmonies are very basic. Very weak phrasing (Ariana’s weaker than his. Infantile lyrics. I don’t want to sound like a hater ’cause I’m not but honestly this is just a not so good rehash of “All of Me” every way I look at it. From the simple arrangement to the minimalistic background vocals. John Legend made it catchy while staying original. This is just too simple.

How did you come to the conclusion that the phrasing on this track is weak and that Ariana’s is even weaker? I’m not coming for you or anything, lol. I just need a better understanding of vocal terminologies and stuff 🙂

Well basically my problem with Ariana (I’m also a fan b.t.w. not here to diss anyone) is that when she sings a vocal run or riffs on multiple syllables (words basically – it’s called melisma) which Ariana uses very often. Now very skilled vocalists phrase it in a way their diction stays intact. Now Ariana will almost always never care for her diction to riff even when it’s not called for and when it won’t fit the words she’s singing. I think she still has to grow within her artistry and she will probably become a better musician. It’s probably just her need to give those very impressive vocal performances cause that what she’s known for. And this is not me going on a tangent for no reason. I’m a vocalist myself – not a famous one. But in my country I’ve sung background parts and provided vocal production for some very established singers.

Tbh, it’s laziness. Fans have been saying it for 4 years now and she doesn’t want to correct it. She has great diction when she wants to.

You are soooooo right. But as @grande the way pointed out, Ariana has the ability, she just isn’t singing at her highest potential. I also think its laziness. Its pretty apparent how her vocal tendencies have changed in the last four years.

Hmmm,,, It’s actually beautiful, when the first verse came in I wasn’t sure but it builds beautifully, for someone who appears small in stature Nathan has a very masculine mature tone and it works well with Ariana’s beautiful voice.. thumbs up, I think it will get even better with each listen it’s a grower for sure!

These song is not made for that Nathan man.. he does not conquer it. I rather see blake shelton on it with Xtina

Proof read before you submit your comment. It should read “THIS song is not made…” Not “THESE song is not made…”

Look he has a way more special voice than her. But he´s not happening. I liked his first single last year. But a year has gone by and the album… where is it? She´s not going to make it big either. She already having problems.

This song is beautiful. Nathan always blows me away with his voice. It’s not as good as Almost Is Never Enough but its still great. I am here for more future collaborations from them.

Upon first listen, I immediately thought of “All of Me” by John Legend meets “Someone Like You” by Adele.

    • Pray for the youth January 15, 2016

Yeah, I also got “all of me” john legend but meets “clocks” by coldplay.
