Being no stranger to penning a hit or two for some of music’s biggest stars (see:  Celine Dion, Rihanna, and more), it’s a no brainer that Ne-Yo would be the “go-to” guy for his opinion on the still much talked about happenings at ‘Super Bowl 50,’ which featured two of today’s biggest divas – Beyonce and Lady Gaga.

Taking to HuffPostLive to discuss the former, who is still embroiled in a world of controversy for her “racially charged”/polarizing performance, the R&B beau shared his thoughts on the matter while also reflecting on their 2006 megahit ‘Irreplaceable.’  Also, as he is set to perform the national anthem at the 2016 NBA All-Star game tomorrow night, the singer-songwriter weighed in on Lady Gaga‘s rendition of the historic number at the ‘Super Bowl.’

Always one to ‘keep it real,’ hear Ne-Yo thoughts on these topics and more in his own words below:

How the hell doesn’t BEYONCÉ A FULL WHOLE BLACK WOMAN BORN AND RAISED IN HOUSTON TEXAS DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE “BLACK” what’s this saying “EMBRACING HER BLACKNESS???”! “Run the world” “ON THE RUN” “Diva” “Bonnie&Clyde03” almost all her music is URBAN ! The industry deemed it COMMERCIAL!

Who cares about Cedric. Cedric can’t create a huge buzz as big as Beyonce. Let alone Bow Wow and he’s played out.

    • What now February 13, 2016

The problem is that Beyoncé has always been the “white people” go to black girl – with her blonde hair, light eyes, and etc. Now that she is really putting her color on the forefront, they are enraged and embarrassed because how much power her name holds.

Where is his new music on the charts and radio? Neyo needs to stop writing for everybody else and save some songs for himself because he’s been invisible for a while. Japan LOVES him….and that’s VERY rare for a milk chocolate male artist, so he needs to release new music immediately before hes forgotten.

    Damn this dude is UGLY.

  6. RealNegro February 13, 2016

Why do they always have to ask this dude about Beyonce? It’s been almost over a decade for that hit that he wrote for her. They need to leave Beyonce out of it and focus on his music.
