This is a major achievement for Rih! I think this is continuing to set her apart from a lot of females and the HOT 100 is clearly her lane. The song actually grew on me and I’m glad it’s one of her #1’s, ‘Kiss It Better’ would make for a strong follow-up also. Those 2 songs happen to be the ones I gravitated towards most from Anti.
This doesn’t have anything to do with nothing, but Rih sort of resembles Whitney (‘It’s Not Right, but It’s okay’ Whitney – visually) in this ‘Work’ video a little bit. It’s kind of heartwarming (funny too)! I don’t know why I like seeing the resemblance around the 3:22 to 3:26 mark, the way she’s hiking up her dress up in the mirror… I wish I could add the video and leave it at that point. Anyway, congrats Rihanna!
