Zayn Malik‘s solo career is heading in one direction…to the top.

The former boyband-er is enjoying a career renaissance with his first foray into life as a singular entity.

‘Pillow Talk,’ the lead single from his ‘Mind of Mine’ album, rocketed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and back home on the Official UK Singles Chart.

With the March 25th release of ‘Mind’ drawing near, Malik used ‘The ‘Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ to reveal its official cover. Check it out above.

The 23 year old also performed new song ‘It’s You.’ Does he have another hit on his hands? Listen below and let us know…

Not bad.

Wayne’s influence is too real…..just like Liyah’s, but no one wants to admit it. SMH! I hope he comments on this too.

Oh people never want to jack Aaliyah’s style, but when asked about her, they weren’t influenced by her, yet the side by sides says that is a lie. *cough* Ciara, Tinashe, Aahanti etc.

No shade to Baby Girl or anything where’s the Aaliyah influence?

Cater 3 much? I told y’all his lil song would free all off the charts. It’ll be out the top 10 next week. Ish was the definition of hype. Meanwhile, Formation is still not found on the charts.

He needs his full name. The song is okay, but more an album track than a single. We already have Majid Jordan, Abhi Dijon to name a few.
I’m glad his live vocals translated well.

….He needs to show something with a bit more tempo

I also don’t like the album cover

Sounds like a rejected Weeknd song

    Overrated.

The cover is a blatant copy of Wayne’s Carter III album right down to the font placement and the Photoshopped tattoos. As a newly minted solo artist and one of the most famous (and gorgeous) young celeb faces in the world, it would have done him good to have a more current photo of him on the cover. As for the song and the performance, I like the dark, down-tempo vibe his going for. I never listened to One Direction’s music but from the little I heard, he did have the best voice. However, I can’t really make out what he’s singing and his voice was a little shaky (probably due to nerves) but his falsetto is lovely.

Now, where’s Aaliyah on any chart? Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse are charting, where is she?

I don’t have much to say but, I’ve actually looked for Aaliyah’s self titled album on Google Play and I tunes and I can’t find it. I think her monster of an uncle has blocked her music from such avenues. The only album I can ever find is Age Aint Nothin But A Number…does anyone know whats up with that? Same story for Spotify.

  8. What now February 18, 2016

Ok. He’s a cutie (in a twink way).

  9. LB February 18, 2016

Most definitely a far much better singer than Justin Bieber and Nicki Jonas (thank God).

I might consider buying his album if he continues winning me over like this, will hear it on Spotify when it comes out.

But so far, the vocals are on point, plus he is a really good looking guy. I think he should do fine, time will tell.

  10. Truth February 18, 2016

This is why I don’t f*** with 90s-born entertainers. They think being a blatant and cheap copycat of something/someone else is cute.

  11. God February 18, 2016

Lil Wayne was not the first to do this. You youngins must do research before crediting the wrong people. Biggie did it first. Nas did it. THEN Wayne did it.

    • Linear February 18, 2016

Neither Biggie or Nas had photoshopped tats on the childhood pictures used for their album covers. This is a direct bite off Wayne. Zayn, Wayne…he probably thought it would be “cute” to impersonate his cover since their names rhyme.
