Carey’s relationship with her siblings reached unfortunate lows following her ascent to superstardom and is the reason her sister, Alison Carey, has used the press to reach out to her as her health deteriorates, after her home was robbed and after she was founding wandering in the streets partially dressed.
In a confusing bid to secure Mariah’s support, her brother Morgan took to the British press to shame her into taking care of Alison by calling her “a witch” for allegedly refusing to pay for the surgeries that could save their sister’s life.
Camp Carey countered with:

Had Alison slept with Mariah’s man or something, I would’ve said “okay chile, disown her for life,” but she is an addict to the devil’s substance. Yes, it is a sad situation indeed but I genuinely believe there is a reason as to why Carey is staying away. THAT is why we question why Mariah can just give her the cold shoulder. But at the same time, we don’t know what else has transpired, so I can’t really judge, other than say that I pray Mariah helps her.

Nonetheless, I agree. My father (I refer to him as my spĕřm-donor) was a raging alcoholic; he was emotionally (and sometimes physically) abusive to my mother for years and also delved in and out various drugs. When he finally arrived at deaths door, that’s when he wanted to make amends and needed help but it was FAR too late and there was nothing that my mother, nor I, could do and she walked away… she forgave him and it was hard to do but it’s exactly what needed to be done.
Of course you can forgive, but forgiveness doesn’t mean opening your wallet. My mother suffered from what your Father from. I truly know what it feels like to have an addict in the fam, so if M doesn’t write the check, I won’t judge her.

Obviously, the money would be used to pay for Mariah’s sister medical needs. It’s no guarantee that she will live if Mariah does offer to pay these bills (that part isn’t in our hands, since we’re being so technical), but the chances of her having a fight on her hands to stay alive (if all it takes in order to do so is a check) greatly increases. The implication here is that this woman needs this money in order to receive treatment she can’t afford for her ailments.
