Michelle Obama has embraced music as a powerful medium during the President’s tenure in the White House.

And, as the clock counts down to the end their run, it’s a practice that continues.

Today brought with it the debut of her new song ‘This Is For My Girls.’

Granted we’d love to see the First Lady give the Pop girls a run for their money, this track doesn’t see her sing.

Instead, she leads a multitude of female stars on the track, which aims to raise awareness for the US government’s #62MillionGirls campaign. Said initiative focusses on seeking help for girls around the world who unable to go to school due to the lack of opportunities.

Penned by the iconic Diane Warren and executive produced by AOL MAKERs, the song – which features the likes of Kelly Rowland, Kelly Clarkson, Missy Elliott, Zendya, and Janelle Monae – is available to listen to below…

  3. Ugggh March 15, 2016

The only voices I can make out were Kelly Rowland and Clarkson and of course Missy! Kelly Rowalnd and Missy Elliot could have just done this alone and it would of still been great!

Kelly slayed!!!!! Chloe & Halle slayed tooo! Chloe was giving me Beyoncé teas YASSSS! Kelly slayed because this is giving me a Destiny Child vibe

  23. Yep! March 18, 2016

The song could’ve used some Fantasia…

Vocals on here seem real weak for something that’s supposed to be an empowerment anthem. It’s a cute lil bop tho for what it’s worth.
