I’m tired of the PBR&B wave on the mainstream that lacks all creativity. Instead of a well curated, introspective, modern album, the songs he’s released sound like left overs from the Partynextdoor’s last mixtape which in the end result as him looking like another white boy singing R&B. He’s too talented for such basicness…

I don’t know if he’s team is lazy or if he’s lazy? But shouldn’t he be promoting the tracks/album since its dropping March 25? I guess he’s counting on those One Direction stand to run out and purchase it anyway.
If you read his article’s since leaving One Direction you would know that he doesn’t care to promote or make top charting music, which is the reason for the lack of promotion. He wants to make music that he enjoys singing and would actually listen to, unlike the hit records and albums and full promotion he did in the group.
He probably doesn’t care, but I can guarantee you RCA does.

The Weeknd legitimized this sound, and now every punk next door has their *own* “voice.” It’s entirely lazy, but with the right name behind it this will prove successful. Zayn will continue to be successful, and this project will do a lot for him. He doesn’t need to do any promotion, because he’s a former One Direction member, and fan of that group will be buying this album. I like “Pillowtalk” and “It’s You,” I just want someone original to take them and do something special. At least this album will provide material for excellent covers in the future.
