Dr. Luke is reportedly being booted from the Sony Music family.

Good news for Kesha supporters below…

The hit-birthing producer has been accused of “blackmailing” Kelly Clarkson and sexually abusing the Pop princess Kesha.

Now, after the label (home to the Luke and the latter) was accused of holding her at the company against her will , the ‘Die Young’ singer has learned that her alleged attacker is to be dropped.

‘The Wrap’ reports:

Sony Music is expected to end its working relationship with controversial producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald a year ahead of his contract’s expiration, knowledgeable individuals have told TheWrap.

The output deal has become a public relations headache for the company since pop star Kesha’s sexual abuse allegations against Gottwald have resulted in a nasty court battle — and a groundswell of support for the singer from influential fellow artists like Adele, Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarkson.

One insider spilled:

There is no contest. Kesha has no case in regards to her contract but they can’t afford the Adeles of the world out in the streets calling the label unsupportive. The fact that this hasn’t already been taken care of with Luke is confusing, especially for people in the building.

Luke is yet to respond to this unconfirmed story.

    So what does this mean?

    • Ugggh March 9, 2016

It means that they are letting a man go to keep the company’s image because of allegations that haven’t seen a court date due to lack of evidence and instead they are holding an artist against her will, who wants out of her contract but will have to remain with Sony until she has delivered five albums. The irony

Because lilly white Taylor and adele came to her defense so the pressure got to them rich people problems I don’t believe her for some reason some women are vindictive society have become if a celebrity do something the public punish them courts don’t exist anymore I want to see rih nicki and bey stick together all the black powerful women because black women r**** and missing everyday no one cares

@Rosy. I feel like I would like your comment if the grammar weren’t so bad. Like really boo, the punctuation is on the keyboard for a reason

Can the man be rightfully charged before his paycheck is taken away from him. This is the problem with social media. It is too easy to jump ahead of an allegation before knowing all the facts. Yes, Kesha has made her statement and if true I hope justice is served, but there has been too many times where people have been falsely accused because said victim feels the need to yell “r***” because both parties no longer get along.

Every company has a rule that any public behavior that poorly reflects on said company can result in termination. Because his reputation poorly reflects on Sony, they have every right to terminate his contract.

This would be a smart decision and good PR move for Sony.

HE CAN PROBABLY SUE THEM! HE HASNT BEEN PROVEN GUILTY.

    • MUSICHEAD March 9, 2016

Nope. It’s like any artist getting dropped from their contract. It is at will employment.

  6. grapejuicefan March 9, 2016

They don’t want any problems with it Adele

Poor precedence set, Sony doesn’t even have all the facts, they’ve acted in haste due to pressures from the court of bandwagon opinion.
    ,
If the courts do find Luke not guilty after a lengthy and vigorous process, I fear it would not matter, the damage has been done.
    ,
Ke$ha needs to be vigorously cross examined by an ivey league lawyer so all the facts can come out. Only then, in a functioning society where law functions should people judge for themselves, instead of supporting something simply because it is popular.

  8. LB March 9, 2016

Sony only did this because it’s a PR nightmare. Fact is Luke is more of an asset than Ke$ha has ever been. Once again, poor precedence set

Ruining a mans career off of accusations that has yet been proven to be true in a court of law. But, then again I do believe she’s telling the truth. What a sad situation. Thank God it ain’t me. Kesha’s “music” (noise) ain’t nothing. I wish her well tho. What doesn’t kill you, only makes you stronger.

I’m sure Sony is paying him a lot of money to leave just like Virgin bought out Mariah Carey’s contact in 2002.

  11. Annalise March 9, 2016

From a business perspective, It’s in their best interest to let him go because this type of controversy could destroy their entire brand and taint their public image. The jury that is assigned to this case can never prove he’s 100% innocent, so it will be based entirely on perception and a multi-national conglomerate like Sony cannot afford to rely on that.

Rich old record label executives, sitting, farting and falling asleep in board rooms right now, understand what makes them money…YOUNG FEMALE TALENT…they can’t afford to EVER lose that…nobody wants to see them on stage singing Hello and Blank Space lol…nobody wants to see them pop, lock and drop in a music video…and nobody wants to see Dr. Puke perform Tik Tok lol…they are INDEBTED to young female talent…drop the Puke and keep the money makers…that’s an easy executive decision…and as long as Katy Perry works with him, he’ll make money…if Katy drops him…CHILE…then he might have to work for Mr. McDowell…when you think of garbage, think of Dr. Luke lol 🙂

    Queen Adele’s impact

  14. Skyfall March 9, 2016

He doesn’t need a label honestly he has a name. He can still write and produce for other artist. He has written co-written and produced some of the biggest hits the millennium so he will continue to get his checks. Plus Sony will probably buy him out as well.

  15. Terry Barnes March 9, 2016

So what? They did it to Bill Cosby, what makes Dr. Luke different?? Oh I forgot, he’s white! Smh

  16. John March 9, 2016

I am sure they paid him off!! No ones with that much success just get drops without paying serious money.

    We will see

  17. Love anti back to sleep rihkarruechn March 10, 2016
