Roc Nation is ruling the charts thanks to the latest efforts of Kanye West and Rihanna.

Rih, as we reported here, nabbed her 8th week at #1 on the Hot 100 this week with her hit ‘Work.’  The feat not only gave her the second longest run atop the chart of her career, but also saw her tie The Beatles for second longest collective weeks on the singles’ chart summit.

But, just as #TheNavy continue to sing her praises for matching rock group’s legendary record, music’s other top story of the week is her Roc Nation brother Kanye who, Billboard reports, similarly challenges the Hot 100 of another music pioneer – Ray Charles

For, after receiving news his latest project, ‘The Life of Pablo,’ entered history books as the first album to hit #1 on the Billboard 200 based on streaming ‘sales’ alone, tunes from the project have boosted him to enter the “top 10 of artists with most Hot 100 entries of all time” tally.

Via Billboard:

Upon West’s additions to his Hot 100 history, here is an updated look at the acts with the most appearances on the chart all time:

207, Glee Cast
129, Lil Wayne
108, Elvis Presley
107, Drake
91, James Brown
83, Jay Z
78, Chris Brown
75, Ray Charles
75, Kanye West
73, Aretha Franklin

      !!

And will people please STOP saying this song is only a hit bc of Drake. He has no #1 singles. And when Rihanna was featured on HIS song (Take Care) the song didn’t do anything major. You men gotta stop hating on this woman.

  2. ???Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??? April 14, 2016

I’m so proud of Kanye for making “Famous” a hit, but Taylor’s about to come down on him like hell with the legal team. She just got a new Vogue cover and I bet she’s feeling herself a little too much right about now.

Sooooo TGJ we’re just going to Ray Charles Rihanna huh? As I’m sure you’re tired having to talk about her non-stop winning, there’s no need to sequester such a major triumph. Not only has she collaborated with a Beatle; she’s now sharing a record with them too!

LOL yeah of course. Now any song can enter the chart while before only songs released to radio could, meaning you could only have one song at a time, two at most if your previous hit was big enough to stay longer than usual. It´s like Nicki Minaj having so many entried too, or Taylor Swift LOL Or Rihanna adding weeks at #1 only thanks to streaming LMAO Does anyone in their right mind think these basic people are as successful as The Beatles or the other legands? LMAO

Glad to see that im not the only one that is not convinced on praising those who use new rules get another no1. Funny how you dont see people selling there albums for $1 anymore some one tried and failed while someone else used that method and sold hundreds of thousands in a week before that was scapped the charts are boring the songs are rubbish so praise those that are winning on streams but dont compare those that worked hard to get there and stay on the 500 million club when these lessers wont and will never reach that club

Just feature on everyone’s song and you’ll break this record. Yall support this rude, ego and selfish trash, I can’t! The bigger he is the bigger the ego. I wish he’ll flop, but he already did, look at Yeezus.

What a joke!! According to this list, Glee, lil wayne and Kanye west are the biggest artists ever lol!! Michael Jackson has 51 Hot 100 entries for example. That doesn’t mean he’s less successful than Glee and lil wayne. Nowadays every album track can chart on the Hot 100, they couldn’t before.
