Should Beyonce release her sixth studio album this weekend she can expect to lock in sales set to make her the envy of all of her Pop pals.

Tomorrow will bring it with the arrival of her Kendrick Lamar-backed ‘Lemonade’ HBO movie, shot in New Orleans to support he sixth studio set.
Of course, the release’s due date has given fans good reason to believe the album will drop shortly before (or after) it hits the air, prompting industry insiders to use what they know about the star’s sales record and rollout plans to reveal how many units they think it will sell.
What they concluded?
400-500k.
This prediction, if accurate, would see her spell trouble for Rihanna‘s stream machine ‘ANTI’, which was expected to top the Billboard 200, but-according to said insiders- fail to match the 1 million units Drake‘s ‘Views from the 6’ may sweep up when it arrives on April 29th.
Problematic, as ‘Views’ may block her chances of claiming the #1 spot if it doesn’t make its way to retailers this weekend.
How her last three albums fared in their opening weeks?
I think that its very likely she’ll do a million first week, I think her streams will be ridiculously high if she chooses to allow her album to be streamed.

Tidal streams does count. This went into effect a few months ago. The only problem is that they don’t have enough subscribers to make such a huge impact with streaming numbers

I predict 600-700k. Drake is a first week seller and Beyonce sells over time. With her tour selling out everywhere before the album has even dropped there is really no reason to do traditional promo. That “trash” outsold UnP with less promo and fully urban hits with no number one internationally. Interestingly, the album peaked higher than UnP in Australia. Oh, the album outsold Aaliyah highest selling album in UK w/o anything to boost it sales apart from Brit awards. And Anti still couldn’t peaked higher than 7 despite Brit award performance. BEYONCE last sales is in 24th week (around June) with 3.7 million. Since then she has been charting for 90++ weeks in US which I believe is enough to push the album past 4 million WW. Therefore the album is probably around 5 mil (7/11 boost, More only EP boost, Superbowl, Elle Magazine etc). Not to mention, it still chatting on iTunes in 112 countries.

We have to stop lying to ourselves. Bey’s impact in foreign markets is slipping because she doesn’t promote. If you think she’s still slaying internationally you need to wake up. I think something is going on behind the scenes which is why she’s avoiding sitting down with journalists in the way she used to. Nobody is above promo and I suspect she’ll go back to doing it if this album doesn’t do exceptionally well.
