Mark Ronson On New Lady Gaga Album: “It’s Honest, Authentic, & Analogue”

Mark Ronson is the mastermind behind blockbuster smashes for the likes of Bruno Mars and Amy Winehouse.

Now, it appears the music maestro is the main force moulding Lady Gaga‘s fifth album.

Spotted numerous times in and out of studios with the Grammy and Golden Globe winner, the  producer has opened up about what folk can expect from the as yet untitled project.

More below…

Speaking with Charlie Rose, the ‘Uptown’ vendor said of Gaga’s new music…

“I’ve been working for the past few months with Lady Gaga on her upcoming record and I’m just blown away by her talent, her voice. She’s a muso at heart. She’s the happiest when she’s sitting at a piano barking orders at the drummer, and I don’t think that’s the side of her the world has seen.

They’ve seen the massive pop singles, tours, and dance numbers, so it’s really great to make this very honest, authentic, analog kind of record with her.” [Source]

Intriguing.

His words align with the audio-visual switch in her brand over the last two years (see: less spectacle, more acclaim).

However, one thing we’ve loved about Gaga is her ability to cater to what her audience wants – which, at her most successful, was big, over-the-top dance numbers.

With there being such a variety in what folk feel she she “should” be doing to reclaim former glories, we just hope the new record embraces the more demure while not forgetting what makes Lady Gaga “work” conceptually. As such, a meeting in the middle of both approaches would be super.

Randomness: The thought of Gaga cranking out her own ‘Uptown Funk’ flavored song has us salivating.

    Can´t wait!
She´s been slaying these two years with talent alone everywhere. Something 90% of her peers could never do.

You call her stealing artistic concepts and music talent? Just because she can play the piano on some melodramatic fashion, along with some over-the-top singing, does not mean she has some pure, unfiltered talent. This drag queen stealing fad is tired.

WAIT WHAT??? Not a Rihanna fan talking about (Stealing artistic concepts and talent). Your fav is the blue print of stealing concepts. Now when it comes to talent, Gaga has more talent in her pinkys then Rihanna has in her whole existence. Rihanna doesn’t want to see Gaga on the stage, actually, Rihanna wouldn’t want to see any artist on a stage. You Rihanna fans are an embarrassment, just stick to your McSingles and streams and stfu.

She can keep that sh*t. Azelia Banks is righ; this girl is OVER. Lady Gaga officially killed pop music. She will always be remembered as a fad that happened in 2009.

Honestly, her career really have went downhill. Not just albums, but singles, tours, streams,YouTube videos, media mentions and awards. How is it possible that Run The Word that flopped so hard had more streams, views etc. Not to mention it’s still charting on iTunes. Seriously, what happen Gaga? You’re one of the most popular and WW popstar in 2009.

She did too much too soon and people are over it.

      • #JACKIE May 12, 2016

More beautiful and relevant than Sir Gag.

Not in awards. She won a grammy for her last effort (Jazz) and she´s been in every single award show stage and being given rave reviews for all those performances. It just happens that when you raise so high and quickly, media are prepared to use you every damn day, meaning destroy you when they can, and people are not better, they quickly lose interest despite the particular artist (in this case Gaga) being equally or more talented than ever.
Thankfully, in her case, her huge talent has saved her and she can keep having a respected career (like these last two years) without the commercial slayage (although it may return, who knows). Somthing pretty much every single girl or boy her age or younger in mainstream just could never do.

She’s truly sat back and taken her time with this project, she is fully aware of everything at stake this era so I’m 100% confident she will SLAY! #chaosangel

  7. Rihanna’s humble pie May 12, 2016

Where Rihanna be without sales smokes and mirrors? She’s just a model with a mic to be honest. Her fans have no room to talk. Talent wise she’ll never be on beyonce and gags level.
