One Republic‘s forthcoming studio album is to make a foray into the spiritual world of Gospel music.

Exciting news for the genre’s fans below…

Led by the number ‘Wherever I Go’ , the album was played for journalists in London before its release date.

That Grape Juice was in attendance and there, after playing numbers inspired by the likes of Jamiroquai and Ed Sheeran, did the band’s frontman Ryan Tedder flaunt his admiration for Gospel by playing a number which honours the genre.

The number’s name is yet to be revealed but fans of the Pop Rock band won’t have to wait until the project’s release before learning that it features the voices of an Atlanta-based choir.

Exciting times!

Republic’s latest creative adventure serves as the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Native.’

The set has sold over 1 million units in the United States.
